  1. That's correct. In men except for maybe Douvalidis in every other track race we fair quite badly. Our star athletes will have to place at the top to grab those points, but I see only Tentoglou getting first place. It will be very tough to stay in the top division.
  2. Looks like Manolo Gabbiadini is our no. 1 target for the striker position. Apparently PAOK people traveled to Italy for negotiations. Reports are the sticking point is the length of contract. Player wants 3 years and PAOK is offering 2+1. Salary would range between 1.3 - 1.7 mil depending on the type of contract.
  3. Vlachodimos, Baldock, Mavropanos, Chatzidakos, Tsimikas, Kourbelis, Bakasetas, Mandalos, Masouras, Pavlidis, Pelkas
  4. And to think about it, we actually paid money to Giannina for Kargas only to dump him after one season. Planning at its best. There is just no way a team will pay money for Kargas knowing that he is not wanted by PAOK. I think in his case the best case scenario is a loan to a team that will pay for half of his salary. Several team come to mind (Tripoli, Panserraikos, lamia, Giannina, etc.) As for selling players I think at least one will be sold this transfer period from this list: Zivkovic A. Konstantelias Koulierakis Augusto Narey Kotarski Ingason Zivkovic the most likely sale, Ingason the least.
  5. Mbaye Diagne from Senegal is the latest rumor for the no. 1 striker position. Last season in Turkey he scored 23 goals for Fatih Karagumruk.
  6. 7. I heard the Garcia as head coach of Panserraikos is a done deal.

  9. Talichmanidis, out 3rd goaltender who never plays for the first team, is ready to sign a 3-year contract extension.
  10. Was hoping to play different teams than the ones mentioned above. Looks like we play the same teams each summer.
  11. Looks like Brandon Thomas renewed for PAOK for 2 additional seasons. PAOK had a preliminary agreement with Krmencik, but apparently Brandon Thomas agreed to stay with the same money that Krmencik was going to get. As a result of this Krmencik decided to sign with Apollon Limassol.

  13. The Greek-Australian who bought Xanthi was Bill Pappas who paid 15 mill to buy the team. However he got into financial problems in Australia and abandoned the team, which in turn turned in the license and is starting fresh from the local amateur competitions.
  14. What a final! PAOK U17 - Olympiakos U17 4:5 in extra time. PAOK was leading 2:0 in the second half only to be tied 2:2 in the 80th minute. In extra time all hell broke lose with the score ending 4:5 for Olympiakos.
  15. PAOK B - PAO B 3:1 One more game left till the end of the season.
  16. 1:0 win for PAOK U17 team against AEK. Final on Sunday against Olympiakos.
  17. The PAOK U17 team plays in the semifinal against AEK today at 20:00 EEST for the U17 Superleague Championship. In the first semifinal Olympiakos defeated Aris 2:0. the winner of PAOK- AEK will meet Olympiakos in the final on Sunday at 17:00 EEST. The game is streamibng on Superleague Youtube channel with a use of VPN:
  18. Kotarski for me as well.
  19. PAOK is one of the 8 teams that are currently without a TV contract for the upcoming season. PAOK's 2-year deal with Novasports ended. Apparently we are talking with Novasports again and we are demanding a deal worth 10 mil at a minimum. In comparison Olympiakos has a deal for the upcoming season worth 15 mil. AEK and PAO who are also without a contract expect deals around 13 mil.
  20. 2022 - 2023 Season: Round 29 (10.06.2023, 17:00 EEST - Makedonikos Stadium, Efkarpia) PAOK Thessaloniki 'B' - Panathinaikos Athens 'B' TV: no coverage
  21. Signing Krmencik will be one of the biggest mistakes the team can make. The only reason some fans are salivating is because of that winning goal against Olympiakos in the cup final. After his loan with PAOK he was loaned to Slavia Prague where he was getting into fights and arguments with players an coaches. Eventually when his contract with the Belgian team ended nobody wanted him and he ended up playing in Indonesia of all places. That's telling me a lot about his abilities. I did not even know Indonesia had a football league. Stay away from him and sign a real striker.
  22. Nice article and some great pictures. Banik ultras are quite notorious, mostly for their hatred against the Olympiakos of Czech football, Sparta Prague. I am hoping to catch a Banik game when I will be visiting Ostrava later this year. Unfortunately it won't be in the stadium (Bazaly) where I grew up watching Banik, but at the renovated Mestsky Stadium, which used to be the home for the town rival Vitkovice FC.
  23. Kyriazis came back to competition with 75.90 meters in javelin. In other doping news, distance runner Kostas Gelaouzos will serve a 4-year ban for a doping offense. He will be eligible to return to competition in November of 2026.
