There are two other athletes in these Olympics with Greek roots. Both taking part in the Ice Dancing competition. Joti (Panagiotis) Polizoakis with his partner Kavita Lorenz competing for Germany finished in 16th place in the same competition. Gabriella Papadakis competed with her partner Guillaume Cezeron for France in the Ice Dancing, finishing in 2nd place. She had wardrobe malfunction during their free programme, but completed the dance and won the silver medal.

Pelkas (and Campos) did not practice with the team today, but there is no way he will miss the game on Sunday.
-
True but there will be some major obstacles thrown our way in the next 3 games (Oly, Tripoli, AEK). I think the Tripoli game is the most dangerous of the three.
-
Anybody saw the friendly between AEK and Xanthi? What a joke.
-
I agree 100%. Mak was very good on Saturday. A lot will be determined in this round. AEK is playing at Atromitos and this is probably the only game that they can drop points (other than the PAOK game). Too bad that the game will be played on Monday so they will know the result of our game.
-
This will be a tough game. They will come in to play their last card (if the 3-point deduction is overturned on appeal). We have a better team, but in these games anything can happen. We will need to play smart and the fans will also have to be smart supporting the team. Must win situation even if it is 1:0 in the 95th minute.

Antoniou finished 46th (out of 110 competitors) in the Giant Slalom. Very good showing. He will take part in the Slalom competition on Thursday.
-
2:0 final. 8 more to go.
-
Nice
-
What a beauty.
-
70-30 possession but nothing to show for it. Not even close.
-
I am sure Moulin will get some playing time. He needs to get into game shape for upcoming games since Canas has been mediocre so far and Mauricio ended up without energy at the end of the last game. In an ideal world, the score will be 2:0 at half time and we can put in Moulin and Azavedo to rest Matos and Mauricio. I have a bad feeling that referees will play a major part in the outcome of this game.
-
pash I don't think Azevedo will start, so expect Vieirinha as LB. Maybe if the score is 2:0 in our favor at half-time Vierinha can switch to RB and Azevedo comes in. Also it would be foolish for Koulouris to start. The only other change I can see is Limnios instead of Mak. I I prefer Mak since Limnios has not been that good the last few starts.

Angelis was 81st out of 119 competitors. Good showing. Ralli did well but not as good as 4 years ago in Sochi, where she was 33rd in the same event.
-
-
That's a 6 position improvement for Ralli as opposed to the Sochi 2014 competition. In Vancouver 2010 she finished 53rd in the same event. She will also compete in the Slalom competition. As for Danou, she did worse than in Vancouver 2010, where she finished 73rd in the same event.

As well he should. There are numerous posts on AEK sites organizing "get-togethers" in Lamia. Let's not forget the big fiasco few years back when the Final 4 of the Handball was played in Lamia and the AEK and PAOK fans turned the town into a war zone. I am sure that the gangster Melissanidis and the Olympiakos are hoping for something like that to happen. It would play right into their hands. And on top of that we have "our own" Gate 4 releasing an announcement saying that they will go to Lamia no matter what. The team needs to go to Lamia, win the game with ease since we have a much better team and return to Thessaloniki and start getting ready for the game with Olympiakos. Any other extra curricular activities in the town of Lamia will play into our opponents hands.
-
There are rumors local AEK fans were planning an "event involving PAOK fans" during the game in order for PAOK to be punished. The other AEK move was AEK owner Melissanidis visiting EPO to complain about refereeing in Superleague. As a result Athenian crew will call the game on Saturday. I hope all PAOK fans stay away from Lamia. As for the game itself, Shakhov is out due to cards and Campos is questionable due to injuriy. Speaking of cards, Matos, Mauricio an Biseswar are siting on 3 yellows. If they receive a card on Saturday they will need to sit out one of the following games: Olympiakos, Tripoli, AEK, Atromitos.
-
PAOK should not officially get any tickets. Leave it to individual fans to find their way into the stadium if they want. That way the team will not be held liable for any possible trouble. Considering that Lamia is very friendly relations with AEK owner, I would stay away from there and not risk any possible game bans/point deductions.

Superleague/Football League/Greek Cup TV Coverage
Blackhawk replied to Blackhawk's topic in TV, Radio, Video, Gaming & Media
NOVA has just announced that it will not extend the collective agreement with Superleague for the 2018-2019 season. This basically means that unless the Superleague teams find another broadcaster (COSMOTE?) to pick up the collective deal, each team will be able to negotiate a television deal with any TV channel on their own just like PAOK did this season with NOVA. If this actually happens a lot of the small team will fall on hard times as they rely heavily on TV revenue. The biog 4 or 5 teams will have no problem finding a TV home. -
Most likely. She will finish somewhere in the middle of the pack if we go by her past results in the Olympics BTW Angelis finished 74th in the same event in the last Olympics as well.
-
Eagle unfortunately that is the state of Greek football these days.
