Time to resurrect this topic. Found this little gem on YouTube. PAOK vs. Olympiakos at Toumba in 1968, including some player violence at the end.

All I have to say is Trabzonspor. Slovan at least is a team that won an European title against Barcelona. In any case we will have a tough time against them. They will play the same games as they did today. Counter attacks. We just have to play together as a team. If we score an early goal, we will win easily. Otherwise the longer it will go scoreless the better chances Slovan will have to eliminate us. There is not a big difference between 0:0 and the actual 1:0 result today. In either case we need to score at home to have a chance to qualify. If I was Ferreira I would sit out Paschalakis for Sunday's game. He needs to start focusing on his game. I also think Jaba needs to see some bench time.

ERT today announced that they will not televise their games this weekend trying to put pressure onthe teams to take the 30% pay cut. For people outside of Greece the AEK against Xanthi will be televised on Antenna Satellite/Pacific.

I saw the first half and a clear penalty was not given to Krasnodar on a handball play that was exactly the same as the Biseswar handball in the game against Ajax. First half was pretty much even. Don't know what happened in second half as I did not see it.

There are no concrete answers. Just media reports. ERT apparently offered 3-year deal worth 23 mil. Basically 7.5 mil per season. As for NOVA last season they were paying PAOK 6.5 mil, but for the upcoming season offered only 4.7 mil. Basically a pay cut despite the fact that they gave Panathinaikos 5.5 mil and are paying AEK over 6 mil. I have a feeling that this move to go the PAOK TV way is to put pressure on the traditional broadcasters, and as pash notes above I would not be surprised if eventually there is deal reached with one of them. I think the first two home games have been selected to act as the testing stage for this project. Also I just heard on the radio that 8,000 people signed up for the game on Sunday, and that PAE PAOK will be happy if that number reaches 20,000.

Apparently we will loan Melissas to NFC Volos as well.

Following today's Super League 1 meeting it appears that the TV coverage for the games has settled as follows: NOVA: AEK, AE Larisa, Asteras Tripolis, NFC Volos, Olympiakos, Panathinaikos, Panionios ERT: Aris, Atromitos, Lamia, Panaitolikos, AO Xanthi PAOK TV PPV: PAOK WITHOUT CONTRACT: OFI If OFI does not sign up with someone at the last minute, they will probably be selling their home games on game by game basis. As far as international coverage is concerned, the NOVA team will be most likely split between Sport Plus and ANT1 Group (Antenna Satellite/Pacific). Sport Plus already has the Olympiakos and Panionios games scheduled for this weekend.

I am sure they will contract somebody to do the production and provide the servers. I hope they find somebody else to do the play by play. Kolkas does not cut it for me. Maybe he'll do the half-time show.

It will be the same as the games PAOK TV was showing last season, which means it will be through their site: http://tv.paokfc.gr/ According to their press release the production will be a professional coverage with 9 cameras. The price for the Panaitolikos is 4.99 Euro. I expect 8.99 Euro for the derbies. Hopefully they will eventually offer a package subscription for the whole season.

Since nobody wants to give PAOK a TV contract for their home games, it appears that PAOK decided to go the Pay-per-View route. Starting with the Sunday's game against Panaitolikos the TV coverage will be on PAOK TV worldwide for the price of 4.99 Euro.

Exactly. He should be happy that he is not behind bars for sexual advances against minors. The sooner we can unload him, the better. Let somebody else deal with his problems. I believe after the Slovan games there will be some transfer movements, including sales/loans of PAOK players and I think Warda will be one of them.

Depends which European championships they are talking about. If it is the senior championships from last year my bet is on Belibasaki or Kyriakopoulou.

Most likely Sunday at 21:00 EEST. The Aris game will switch to Saturday. We are one week away from the kick off and half the teams don't have a TV contract. Including PAOK. What a joke of a league.
