So to confirm, if we end this game with a draw, we need to at least draw vs Aris. I'm not hopeful at the moment, I must say.

Ingason had to drop out, Mihaj is now in. I think the kid is plenty motivated tbh

The race is on! But realistically, none of these companies will be able to scale up production enough to cover the world. Having three or four vaccines, however, will spread the load (to say nothing of safeguarding against disaster, if one of those vaccines goes the polio route).

Ingason is in, Swiderski out

One of our local pharmas here in the Boston area (Moderna) released the results of their first human vaccine trials last night. It seems that they worked on all 45 tested people, at all dosages (there were high- medium- and low-dose trials). It looks like they're moving forward with the medium dosage in a 30,000-person trial that will begin this month, with results to be collected by end of November. Don't go kissing strangers yet but this is great news.

But then how will they ensure that the big teams stay big?!

We were never gonna get the full clause for Giannoulis, at least not without him turning heads in the CL. I think best we can hope for is 3mm + 25% resale. Hopefully we do get offers for both him and Limnios. Signing Vieirinha at a lower wage and successfully offloading at least half of Wernbloom's (and *not* trying to re-sign Mauricio) should also help a little as well. I expect the club to go to the very limits of what they can spend, though. No cutting beyond what's strictly necessary.

He truly transformed our defense. Good sign that so many of italosPAOK4's people are more on the recent side, though. This next transfer window is going to be a big test, of how well the team will be set up going into the next decade...
-
Perhaps a Giannoulis replacement, once we sell him for €98,000,000? https://inpaok.com/649952/rotise-gia-reka-o-paok/ https://www.transfermarkt.us/arkadiusz-reca/profil/spieler/268178

Even giving him away on loan for this year and paying like half his contract would be a win in my book.
-
The rumor is that some Arab team wants to make him an offer. Obviously a sale would be contingent on such an offer being received - the point is simply that if we get an offer, we should accept it. I can't imagine there's much of a market for him out there otherwise, unless the Turks have been watching him.

I do like what you're saying, and think it's more reasonable. I still don't have faith that it'll happen. I was saying to PaokCT the other day, I don't mind Soares. I think he's fine. But is he better than Lyratzis? I doubt it, especially since Matos plays 90% of games anyway. When the time comes to make a decision on who'll be that backup, coaches and technical directors want to hire outsiders from where they have familiarity. It's only natural! For me, if we get an offer to sell Ingason, I think we should take it. Not because I don't think he's good - he may be better than Varela - but because we have two very good players in Mihaj and Michailidis who will be riding the bench once Crespo is back to playing regularly. On the wings, we have Gaitanidis and Tzolis...but they have to compete with Pelkas (who also should probably be sold), Biseswar, Vieirinha, Jaba, Stoch, Lamprou, and Limnios. If we sell four of those guys, Gaitanidis and Tzolis will still probably fail to get playing time. I should admit, though, that it is kind of pleasing how many non-youth Greek players we have on the wings.
-
I think we'll move some of the expensive players but I have absolutely no faith that the youth will get a shot. We're gonna have a menagerie of Brazilians, just you wait. Prove me wrong, team!
-
Fenerbahce? Uh well they have no money but okay! https://inpaok.com/649871/theli-akpom-i-fenerbachtse/ I also saw something about a Turkish team that was relegated looking to get Stoch. Again, money talks...
-
Swiderski and Ingason both questionable for this game. And El Kaddouri may be sitting this one out due to cards? I'm sure we'll see a similar lineup/formation to last time. Perhaps Soares gets the start due to his good performance vs Oly? Wouldn't be surprised if Jaba and Crespo get subbed in during garbage time. --Pashalakis-- --Mihaj--Varela--Michailidis-- --Matos--Mauricio--Biseswar--Esiti--Giannoulis-- --Tzolis--Akpom-- -edited because I can't count
-
Maybe, but also probably not. Another reason to let Biseswar go: Ferreira should get a chance to build the team he wants if he stays. Opening up positions gives him that opportunity.

60FPS video can be SO WEIRD to see sometimes:

Like actively in hospitals? Grim. Google's tracker tells me you have 258,000 confirmed cases in total now (though 130k have already recovered). Florida broke a new record today with nearly 15,300 new cases in a single day. For comparison, Australia has had fewer than 10,000 confirmed cases in total, the vast majority of whom have already recovered.

Man, it seems he was really jazzed to play. Now that's the spirit! I hope he didn't make this problem much worse though. He's too good to risk. https://inpaok.com/649749/epexe-me-enesi-o-ingkason/
-
Hold up, was Ingason subbed because he was hurt? That's bad. Good thing that's the one position we have way too much depth.
-
Don't like seeing that AEK is ahead on goal differential. I wonder what the are chances they'll win vs Olympiakos? If we were to lose on Wednesday it would be a real nail biter until the end of the season.
-
My God, Crespo could literally be the world's sleaziest salesman. Just look at him. He was born for it!

They scored but was there a foul??

BIG save by Pashalakis
