im so humiliated and depressed all my passion and excitement for my beloved NT is fading quick. We have officially become a middle of the pack minnows team not even the upper end of the minnows. That is so pathetic. We literally go from a penalty shot goal away from reaching the final 8 to becoming one of the worst teams in Europe and in the world. Im not even excited for the World Cup campaign because the reality is we don't stand a chance in hell of qualifying yet alone beating anyone.

Besides the friendlies how much time does Skibbe actually have with the NT before the World Cup campaignnodes he actually have practise time on a regular basis or does he only get then NT just before a game?

Reaper are you kidding me..... Are you saying on paper the line up that we put in today even tho it's s%$#! in my opinion isn't good enough to beat Lux? I Don't give a F*** which players we put in we shouldn't be losing to these minnows. You say you don't you understand my logic but, you say we lost cause our line up was s%$#!, how good of a line up do you need to beat these teams? Most teams play there B squads against these teams. When will the excuses stop? We just need to realize we are s%$#! and we have become minnows ourselves. I'm going by proof we were the only team to lose to FI this entire campaign and now we lose to Lux.

Original21, you are missing the point of we can't beat teams like Lux or FI with this line then we are absolute garbage. I don't care who we field against these teams we should never lose.

Amargos it's not minor tweaks that we need, the big picture is that we should be able to field b and c line ups and beat teams like this and the FI we are in a lot more trouble then just minor tweaks. It's not a mixture of the right players we've tried everyone and we keep getting the dreadful same result.

^ Ellas why are you so surprised? I'm not our team is not good, the Euro qualifiers was no fluke. Everyone felt so optimistic because be beat Hungary and scored 4 goals. Can you imagine what Turkey will do to us? Or even worse what Belgium or Bosnia will do to us if we can't even score against Lux. Regardless of this outcome our NT is in deep trouble for years to come.

That's my point seeing that line up gives me no confidence what so ever, to me it going to me the same s%$#! results with the same s%$#! line up. Yes we might win today but if this is the line he fields then kiss any hopes of the World Cup good bye.

I really hope I'm wrong but I'm not as confident that all of a sudden we are going to snap our fingers and be a better team. Yes we barely beat Hungary at home for our only win, yes we scored a shocking 4 goals, yes a few guys looked really good like tach/pelkas/fourt. We still allowed 3 s%$#! goals against, we still looked very unorganized in our back end. The Hungary game to me was just one of those pond hockey style games with end to end chances that happened to go in the net. I would have rather won 2-0 with a stunning team performance from the back to the front. I still think we look like one of the weakest teams defensively and we still look very poor offensively, One game won't change my mind. Its going to take time and allot of work to restore this team and its style. I hope the new coach has at least some idea of how are team is built and what makes us successful. If he comes here and preaches attack attack we are F***ed. I know we have mixed reviews on here about what style we should play, for me it's simple playing solid D is what made us qualify for major tournaments and climb the Fifa rankings not our offense. I would love to see us as an attacking team, but it needs to start from back end first and right now our back end and our mid is playing like s%$#!. I hope Skibbe has a solid blue print on how to make our team successful again, because we do have SOME useful pieces still.

Bottom line guys realistically we are the third best team in this group, I completely disagree that Greece is better then Bosnia. Bosnia is a much better side and I'm sorry to say but Mitroglou is nowhere close to as good as a player as Dzeko. Bottom line Bosnia defense is not the greatest but against Greece mediocre defense is good enough against our dreadful offense, now add Bosnia scoring into the mix and that should be able to easily put Bosnia ahead of Greece in the standings.

^ I disagree, when we go all are back end gets exposed way to easy, we tried going all out in the Finland game at home look what happened they had one or two chances and they scored, same with the FI game we dominated possession and tried to push forward and once again when we did that our back end got exposed and we allowed two goals. Against the Hungarain team we went all out and we barely beat them because our defense was so bad. Now you can say during the Hungary game we didn't have our starting A line up but we did pretty much every other match and we conceded goals very easily from the worst teams. If we have the mentality to push forward and dominate and go all out offensively teams like Cyprus even and Estonia will score on us. The FI did. We need a solid all our game starting with a stellar back end and hopefully with the new editions like Tach/bak we can score.

Before the friendlies start which is very important for us, we need a coach, I don't want to start another game with out a coach. Who ever the new coach is needs as many games as possible with this team before next September.

I love the optimism but I need to see what a lot more before I start saying we are the favorites next to Belgium for the World Cup qualifications, is that how quick everyone switches just because we barely beat a pathetic Hungary team 4-3 all of a sudden we should have no problem qualifying for the World Cup? Based on what? I still strongly believe our team is in shambles. We had one good attacking game against a s%$#! team, does that mean Pelkas is the answer? The truth is we have no clue yet. We haven't seen anything to prove that this team is turning the corner. It was one game since the World Cup that we won a game. News flash if we played Bosnia tomorrow they would spank us, so would Belgium. Let's wait and see what happens with a new coach and some friendlies and then maybe we can get a bit optimistic but for now this team is still far away from correcting things.

why is everyone crying for the 3 goals we conceded seriously ? our defence was full of substitutes... i heard the greek commentator saying something about moras playing coz "this is probably his last game with the ethniki". manolas didnt play , k.paps didnt play , the substitude defender was making a debut and he is young , stafylidis sub , kitsiou not even a 100% defender. I am not getting hyped about playing too damn good in 1 game only , but why do u fuss about hte defence...
I get what you are saying but how does that explain the 5 goals in total against NI, the 2 against FI and so on? Let's not forget guys we have always had trouble scoring this is NOT something new, the only thing that is new is our goals against and how horrible we've,played defensively. Let's say our offense does get better but the way we are playing defensively stays the same all that means is we will be losing 5-2 against teams like Bosnia and Belgium who can both score at will. FIX THE DEFENCE

This is the exact thing I was saying from the beginning, we need to fix our defense as it has gone to s%$#!. We actually played great offensively we found holes we created and great one touch passing. But the problem that has caused us to miss the Euro is our defense. We have now allowed 6 goals against in 2 games to garbage teams. It is refreshing to see our boys control the ball and finally get rewarded.

^ JVC I agree but not every team that qualifies for major tournaments have guys tearing it up. We don't need guys to tear it up although it would be nice, we need guys to play as a team backed by a solid system. In theory having guys tearing up is ideal but it's not the only way. You can have guys that are good players that play for quality teams that just do there job without "tearing it up" we all would love to have that one superstar that can carry the team but in reality that's not going to happen with us so our only answer is to have players that are skilled enough to to play in a solid system behind a solid coach.

We've been through 3 coaches and an intern all with the same result. The real issue here is our players SUCK at least the ones we are fielding. I've said it before one win versus Hungary did not changed my mind about this team at all but as a coach you just saw the NT win its first game in how many months so what the F*** does Skibbe do instead of building on the positive which was a win and goal scoring he completely changes the line up. I'm Sorry but for that reason alone I don't feel confident in Skibbe. If I just got hired as a coach and i see the last game the NT played they won then of course Im Going to keep the same line up just to see what I have and make sure that the game was no fluke and see if I can build positives and chemistry around that victory. Im So deeply disgusted by the EPO our players and the coaches.
