  1. Ellas even though I want to agree with you I am still worried if we go all out offence, let's no forget against the FI we dominated play and went all out and we ended up losing both games. So even though I want to say lets go all out and smash this s%$#! out of these guys I'm still some what worried if we do that just because of our results in the last couple years. Didn't we even lose to Luxembourg 1-0 as well? And we again tried to play all out offence. That style doesn't work for us regardless of our apponent and never has. Let's not make the same mistakes we made in the EQ and in  the friendlies in the last couple of years. Solid defense needs to be our focus and who ever disagrees needs to go back and look at the teams the we've conceded goals against.

  2. ^we should be done experimenting by now, the line up that is fielded against the Netherlands should be our line going forward for the wc qualifiers. There should only be tinkering if there are injuries or if we look horrible on the pitch. I really hope Skibbe isn't planning to keep mixing his line ups on a game to game basis because if he does we are screwed and we will build no chemistry or consistancey. The time for the  mixing of line ups should be done by now. I'm not crazy about some of the selections but he has made his decision now he just needs to stick with a line up and focus on a strategy.

  3. ^ I agree.. The reason we have been so successful in the past has been because of our defence which is not our strength anymore.. In the past we could have handled the Netherlands and shut them down and maybe pull out a late goal. The reason our results have been so poor the last two years is mainly do to our week defence we've played. We know we've never been an offensive team but now our defence has gone to s%$#! too. Believe it or not but this is the reason we have been so brutal and have dropped in the FIFA rankings and its do to our lack of defence.

  4. I personaly think if Kyriakos is healthy he automatically gets in the starting 11 even if he's missed a s%$#! load of games because of injury. Even if he is a bit rusty the guy brings leadership, energy and passion in that line up and that's rare to find on this team right now. He is a must for me.

  5. As I was drinking my half Bravo half Turkish coffee, and watering pots with gardenias, I received a vision I will share. The Hellenes will top their group, Yes, and Belgium will be 3rd below Bosnia-Hertsegovina. They have hazos Hazard but we have Fortounis !! We are on the way back baby! Pot two will be for Bosnia. Won't-the-true-Enthniki-please stand up, please stand up, please stand up.

K Papas isn't so valuable as Skibbe won't play 3 CB's, with wingbacks. Nonetheless, we will be ready after the Netherlands match.

Aus I like your DREAM while you were watering your plants but in reality you've said this a few times now that we've gone through our rebuild and we have turned the corner, my question to you is what are you basing this on?? I hope it's not on the one win against a very week Australia team. I personally think we've been juggling our line way to much and that we have not shown any significant change that will indicate that we've turned the corner. What have you seen from this coach and team that gives you so much confidence because maybe I'm missing something. I would have had confidence in this team if they held clean sheets and have gotten wins and draws by playing an organized style after the Euro but unfortunately I've seen nothing like that yet.
  6. Okay so the Euro is over and it even though I watched the games it still sucked not having our team represented, especially when you see the likes of teams like Albania, Hungary and so on. The focus now turns completely to the WC and our team better smarten the F*** up because I can't handle missing another tournament and going through this s%$#! again. Skibbe better have a plan and get he s%$#! together and start getting this team to play organized hard to break down soccer.

  7. You guys can say what you want about Santos, but having his team play solid defence and catch teams on the counter and in set pieces WON them the Euro with out Rinaldo. Portugal had no business winning this tournament. One thing I can say about Santos is that he he new what our weakness were so he played to our strengths just as he did with Portugal.

  8. I don't understand the hate that Santos is getting. I to would take him over any coach we've had over the last two years, the one thing Santos was good for was getting the team to play to its strengths even though a lot of people thought it was to "boring" I also think Even with the lose of some of our veterans Santos would have build in our world cup success and we would have qualified for the euros. Even though I didn't agree with everything he did he still new how to get this team to suffocate opponents defensively and play inspired football. Those 3-1 games we lost to Irleand or the loss to Finland and the FI at worst would have been a draw in my opinion. I think everything hit this team like a ton of bricks Karagounis retiring then Samaras no longer on the team, Santos leaving, all these things that occurred left the team lost with no one to lead or inspire. To many changes all at once F***ED this team.

  9. When it comes down to our last friendly against Netherlands if Skibbe does more tinkering and doesn't pick a line up that will replicate our line up at the WQ then he's truly an idiot and I will be so pissed off. As it stands now we are all still kind of scratching our heads to the potential line up and formation that skibbe wants to go with and we have imo wasted a lot of friendlies instead of trying to rebuild chemistry with the players we want to field at the WQ.

  10. On another note take a look at our record and Bosnia's over the last 2 years

    BOSNIA.

    BOS 2 JAP 1

    BOS 2 DENMARK 2

    BOS 1 SPAIN 3

    BOS 2 SWITZERLAND 0

    BOS 3 LUXEMBOURG 0

BOS 0 REP OF IRL 2

BOS 1 REP OF IRL 1

    BOS 3 CYPRUS 2

    BOS 2 WHALES 0

    BOS 3 ANDORRA 0

    BOS 3 ISRAEL 1

    BOS 1 AUSTRIA 1

    BOS 3 ANDORRA 0

    BOS 0 ISRAEL 3

    BOS 1 BELGIUM 1

This included the Euro qualifiers and friendlies they still finished 3rd in a much tougher group then us and had 5w 2d 3L 17points

    Belgium 23pts

    Whales 21pts

    Bosnia 17pts

    Israel 13pts

    Cyprus 12pts

    Andorra 0pts

Just for kicks we all no our results but when you put it side by side it's even scary then first thought.

    Gr 0 Romania 1

    Gr 1 Finland 1

    Gr 0 N Ireland 2

    Gr 1 Faroe 2

    Gr 0 Hungary 0

    Gr 0 Finland 1

Gr 0 Poland 0 (no Lewandowski)

    Gr 0 Serbia 2

    Gr 0 Romania 0

    Gr 1 N Ireland 3

    Gr 0 LUXEMBOURG 1

    Gr 4 Hungary 3

Gr 0 Turkey 0 (turned out to be 3-0)

    Gr 2 Montenegro 1

    Gr 0 Aus 1

    Gr 2 Aus 1

    N Ireland 21pts

    Romania 20pts

    Hungary 16pts

    Finland 12pt

    Faroe Islands 6pts

    Greece 6 Pts

Bosnia would have easily qualified if theu were in our group. Can some please look at this and explain to me where we have "Turned the corner" and the he F*** do we expect to challenge Bosnia for a World Cup spot? Looking at me his leading up the September we might not be able to beat Cyprus. I was just st looking at this and I don't see a scenario where we qualify.
