@Rockafeller Skank So not only are you the only one that thinks Tziolis belongs on this team you now think Laz doesn't belong on the team and his career is over?? Are you series? Laz is may be playing his best soccer of his career and can still impact a game.. Laz will need to be a big part of the NT going forward as he can be a difference maker for us.. I understand you're concerned with "AGE" but as long as the guy can perform and play who cares about his age.. I totally disagree with you and i actually wish Skibbe would have brought Laz up way sooner and played him more so he can build some chemistry with the NT..

We will know come the first game who was responsible for those ridicules call ups.... Now if Tziolis is still on team and worse starting and Fetfa doesn't make the call up then we know it was Skibbe….

^ I completely Agree I also thought a big part of the horrible selections was do to Tanos, i really hop he gets someone else in there as well that has a different view and not tied to any players.. it's all on Skibbe now let's hope Tanos was the reason for the horrible selections.

@Dean97 you're right I haven't seen the NT look as good offensively as they did in that game, With Skibbe as our bench boss we will not see that kind of offence again he is much more of a defensive coach that doesn't like his team taking chances which hinders our offence completely.. he plays guys so far back that when they get the ball there are way to many opposing players on him and he can't do much.. I think we need to utilize our wingers out wide more to creat space for our players... they can't be afraid to give up a goal as that hinders our attack so much.. Ever time I see the NT they like tight and stagnate... That's why we need to add players that have speed in our line up.. I'm hoping Donis really becomes a difference maker for us as the kid has wheels and can take on defenders, as does Fetfa, If Kone can get his game back I would love to see him on the team, I had such hopes for that guy after our last World Cup.. Fetfa,Pelkas,Mitro,Donis,fortunes,Fetfa mantolas and Laz all need to have significant roles for NT to be successful.. if Samaris can finally play regularly than maybe he becomes our instant starter at mid but for now I don't know who our mids should be..At the end of the day if Skibbe is any kind of coach then he play a system that takes pressure of our weakest positions that is mid but I don't have that much faith in him..Play 3 in the back instead of 4 and move up a guy...

Dean I do agree with you that we need more of an attack no question, I have heard a lot of guys referring to that one game against Hungry which didn't mean anything for us as we were eliminated by then which takes pressure of the players, if that game meant something I don't think you would have seen 4 goals by Greece as they would have played more conservative.. The other issue is yes we scored 4 goals but we allowed 3 which is pretty bad.. Don't you guys notice by now when Greece push forward and attack we leave our back end vulnerable and we always get scored on.. As much as I'd love to see Greece play strong and attack we need to find a middle grown. We can't play the two extremes of going all out attack because we get scored on easily and we can't play all back deference because we can never produce a goal and only get 1 to 2 chances a game.. We need to somehow find a balance of defence and offence.. This World Cup showed us that parking the bus does not work and a good offence will break yuo down, also an all out attack left teams vulnerable to the counter.

Guys we better take this Nations league serious as it might be our only chance to qualify for the euros.. I think do to our FIFA rankings we will have two difficult teams in our group at the euro qualifications so we better take advantage of this opportunity we have now..

@Rockafeller Skank Sorry to say bro but you are delusional if you think Tziolis may be our best option at Midfield...

I agree that we ended up playing two of the 3 best teams that were in the World Cup and if Donis and manolas were playing the game in Croatia would have been different. Now we might have not got a result but I don't think we would have lost by more then 1 goal which would have given us a chance in the 2nd game.. I don't see Skibbe moving away from Tziolis at all if he wasn't going to use him then he wouldn't have played the entire game in our friendly and he would have tried someone else.. I truly think Skibbe is still not that knowledgable of the Greek players because if he was there is no way he would continue to choose the line up he does.. This nations league will show us a lot and ultimilety what we can except from this coach going forward.. We can not continue to play guys that don't get regular playing time, and where we are unsure about a certain postion then you need to pick players with speed who can make up for their mistakes.. We need to stop playing guys that are slow and lazy like Taxi... lets see what happens but until i see changes with the call ups and line up selections then I don't except anything to change from our last campaign regarding players..

Okay so I'm pretty sure Fetfa wasn't picked so far because of where he played yet Tziolis has been a regular this entire time..lol lets see now that he goes to OLY what Skibbe's excuse for not calling him up will be...

I have said it for a while Samaris and Taxi are not our answers, If we start with them at mid again we will continue to have the same problems... Samaris makes more mistakes then good plays and he should be a bench option not a starter. Taxi should not be a starter besides his shot and height he offers nothing, He is slow and lazy as f..ck... Since we lack talent in our mod then we need to compensate with guys that work their asses off and have good speed as speed can make up for lack of talent sometimes.. I also would like to see Kone And Fetfa on this team..We need to fill our mid with a couple of guys that have Zeca's speed and work ethic because we know we don't have much talent in that position... Sad to say but if we continue with the same line up we will not qualify for the euros... The World Cup has should us parking the bus does not work and eventually you will be broken down, The Greek team needs to play smart defence obviously but we need speed and guys that can at least make some passes in order to create some chances.. I don't know what the answer is for our mid postion..

We can forget about seeing new guys or even changing guys positions around, Skibbe will stick with what he knows and only play the guys he's comfortable. He sees us going to the playoffs a success not a failure like we all do so I'm so worried he will pick his trusted line up and try to advance that way.. So in short be prepared to see the likes of Tziolis, Tzavellas, Bakastas and so on....

If you noticed anything from this world cup Defence alone isn't enough as even great defensive teams are allowing more goals than usual. Greece need to obviously keep within in their strengths and focus on their D but need to push the ball and start getting more creative offensively and start getting more shots towards target and not this 1-3 shots on target for the entire game.. This will change I believe only when we find a solid midfielder that can control the field..

I thought the same thing... After seeing Croatia maybe we weren't actually that bad as they look pretty fierce... We knew Belgium is world class... I still think we made huge mistakes with our line up in game 1 vs Croatia that cost us big time but I don't Think we could have beat them regardless after what I've seen with them.. We were also the only team to get a point against Belgium and were about 10 minutes away from winning even with a man down.. I also agree if we were in a couple of the other groups we probable would have advanced... We still have major issues we need to fix especially in our midfield but after seeing Belgium and Croatia I don't feel as bad as I did back when we lost in the playoffs..

Nah man i disagree if we are starting Taxi and Tziolis we are toast.. Not sure why Skibbe didn't experiment with new players at Mid during the friendlies... What was he looking to get out of th Taxi Tziolis combo??? Taxi has two left feet and is slow, from time to time he can look okay at Olympiacos because he has much better players sourounding him. We need to find two guys that can move with speed and also take control of the game badly.

If we don't win our Nations league group then we need to fire Skibbe before the euro qualifiers in the spring.

Greece right now need all the help they can get so if the nations league gives us another shot I'm all for it, chances are we will be the 3rd best team in our group for the euro qualifiers so we need this nations league plus it makes the games more meaningful then friendlies...

Skibbe will definatley put Fortounis ahead of Pelkas and Mantalos ahead of Laz..
