  1. I think its Greek tradition the last decade or so to just sell/release 10 players ans sign another 10 each season and still expect miracles to happen.

Dont think we would be where we are today had it not been for the viking Johansson and the moped Simoes

  2. A good result, consideringr it was our first game back in Europe we held our own.

With a packed OAKA on our own turf hopefully we get the win! Add to that Almeida and Pastichio.

A lot of positives noted from todays performance!

    BRAVO AEKARA

  3. 0-0 HT

Started off shakey, then opened up and had a few decent chances, Mandalos' shot, and Johanssons header.

St Etienne came alive last 10 minutes and called for 2 penalties and had a good shot blocked by Anestis. Correct decision not to give the on penalty calls.

    2nd half now

    Bakasetas warmin up!

  4. So the big day is almost upon us, not really sure what to expect tbh.

I know St. Etienne finished 6th in the French league last season which is no easy feat however the French league is nothing to be afraid of bar PSG imo, however still strides above the Greek.

No real standout players from looking at their roster that I can see and no real goal threat much like ourselves, their top goalscorer last season was a midfielder Hamouma with 8. Robert Beri? and Oussama Tannane from what I read are meant to be decent.

Paul Pogba's brother Florentin Pogba plays for them at CB and seems to be a starter (32 games last season).

Not very busy in the transfer marker, they brought in Bryan Dabo who is a DM from Montpellier, and a left back for free,

Overall they dont seem that far better than us, maybe slightly.

I'd take a goal draw. The away goal is crucial.

    I see Ketsbaia starting;

Subs: Barkas, Bakakis, Lambropoulos, Tzaneopoulos, Diaz, Bakasetas, Aravidis

  6. Like I said at the present time Greece is not a favorable destination for football players aspiring to continue there development, maybe more so for footballers in the twilight of there careers looking for a decent paycheck but not as much pressure in a way. However thats not to say we wont/dont sign good players. Just feel for the majority the Greek league would not be high on their list.

I believe considering the circumstances of signing mostly free agents, we have done alright.

Belkaroui looks like he will be the next and final CB, at 6"5 our CB's will literally tower over everyone in the league, a CM is crucial imo, Simoes and Johansson will not be able to do it by themselves. A ST would be a bonus considering how long it took to get Almeida.

  7. I doubt they would like to come to Hellas.

Im not bothered about PAO beating them 6-1.

We have probably our biggest game in many years coming up in 1 week, I'm pretty sure we weren't in first gear. We got the win by 2 goals and have yet to concede. Cant complain.

Patito I feel will be a solid signing.

  8. Im sure we could have but we seem to only be going for free transfers, theres not that many abailable it seems.

I thought Diego did alright, dont think he was given a clear chance, not really bothered that hes gone tho.

I think Almeida will come good.
