Lazaros has passed the medicals and is on his way to the offices to sign!
A good signing and also Greek which is always a bonus imo.

Disappointed in the Lescott signing, who will he start ahead of? Kolovetsios it seems.
I'd take Lazaros at this late stage of the window. Good singing with good experience in SL and abroad.

At the end of the day the squad has been improved, not substantially but in some way.
We have learned from the past not to spend silly money as it lead to our demise. This time round we are being more strategic, sure a couple mil should have been spent but I'm sure there is a valid reason as to why Meli has not dug deep, the stadium playing a big factor.
Letting Barbosa go so late and not having another CM is poor managemtn however.
Anyway, you can state all you want about how the team will do, not that it means anything, I'd rather people underestimate us tbh.
Mandalos, Simoes, Johansson, Chygrynskiy, Vargas would be the first names in the 11ada for the above teams.

Good luck to him, he has been a good servant for the club and scored some big and beautiful goals. Will get a decent paycheck for playing in the desert.

Talks of interest in Barbosa by Arruabarena who is in charge of some team in Dubai.
Our squad will be super thin if we lose Helder.

Didac had a shocker.
One chance we have is the champions route IF we win the league, big ask, but the route is easier.
Unless u mess it up like Olympiakos against Israeli teams.

Poor decision starting Lambropoulos at CM, i would gave put Mandalos there with Bakasetas in his place, Almeida up front.
Aswell as taking our 2 of our most creative players in Babosa and Vargas, still cant understand how That header didnt go in!
Unlucky to lose out best player at the last minute, and also for getting a difficult opponent so early, the result of being out of Europe for so long.
Dissapointing that we could not see the gaping pothole in our midfield depth, we need to get a CM before the deadline.
Mandalos was pretty poor with them crosses, every one just went so to high over everyone, we rarely really tested their keeper, besides Vargas' bullet.
The only positive is we can solely focus on the league now, im sure with more games the team will find a rythm, signing a CM is a necessity.

At least Oly and PAOK get a 2nd chance to redeem themselves and salvage some points for Greece in Europa.
Lets be honest any of the Greek teams would have struggled to gain points in the CL, the only benefit it would have had to our teams would have been the cheese it generates (?12/15 mil I believe), points wise for Greece's coefficient I doubt any of them would have gained that many, maybe a draw or 2, I feel we have a better chance in EL, all the teams will be seeded bar AEK I think, pending any of them qualify that is.

A big issue with the team for me is the lack of Greeks, excluding the GK you had 1 outfield Greek in Fortounis.
Sure some current players will have a interest in the team history wise etc, but you wont get the same passion as you will by having Greeks in the team, who will bleed for the fanela.
You could say there is a lack of talent in the Greek pool, but its up to Olympiakos to develop these players above any other team considering the amount of success its had, be it on the pitch or on paper.....

It just goes to show you how much of a Thrylos Marinakis is. Things heat up on him from Meli and co. in Greece so he jumps ship and tries to buy a club with the same colours in England....putting no attention into his little toy Oly.

I have terrible luck at European games, went to Sevilla and Omonia and we lost both.....
Reports coming in close to 30,000 sold already.
Also this game will be our 200th in Europe.

Should have stayed in Greece, 1 season at Iraklis where you get 10 goals is nothing special, he needed another season where he outdid himself last season to give himself more confidence.
BIG difference playing vs horafia teams and PL bound teams.

This is it, hopefully OAKA is full anything less than 50,000 will be disappointing.
I'm expecting the same lineup as the first game with Almedia starting up front in place of Pekhart.
1 away goal for Saint Etienne means we will need 2 so just as crucial to keep a clean sheet as it is to get a goal. Our defense is still to concede a goal which is a bonus, need another big game from the titan Chyrgrinksiy.
