  1. Lol Robert Miles is more like techno
  2. Chalkia and Tsoumeleka we're also caught for doping during the Beijing games as well. Such a shame when both of them won gold in Athens.
  3. It is official that both of her bronze medals from World Championship 2007 in Osaka and 2008 Summer Olympic Game in Beijing have been stripped.
  4. Here is a good one from Armin Van Buuren's track "Simple Things", sung by Justine Suissa. <3
  5. Paul Oakenfold is a legend. I listen more to uplifting and progressive trance.
  6. This is my kind of music! Post all your favorite trance songs! For me, I start off with this track which was released last year by Ian Standerwick
  7. Ruth Beitia of Spain won the 2016 European Female Athlete Of The Year Ekaterini Stefanidi finished 3rd in the voting.
  8. I normally don't watch Paralympic Games I found out that a young Greek swimmer who is only 17 years old, swims with one arm and stunned the world beating both favorites Tamas Sors (Hungary) and Federico Morlacchi (Italy) in the 100m Butterfly S9 to win gold for Greece. He broke a Paralympic Record of 59.27. :) I burst into tears watching this video.
  9. Next World Championships will be held in London, UK from August 4-13, 2017.
  10. I want to open up a topic of this track and field event that occurs every 2 years. The 2018 European Athletics Championships will be held in Berlin, Germany, from 7 August 2018 to 12 August 2018.
  11. Nikoleta Kyriakopoulou is the first Greek athlete (male or female) to win a Diamond League event. When I watched that 4.80 m she passed over, I was amazed! She screamed like crazy! lol
  12. This is sad news
  13. This Bosnian team isn't as good as most people think. You saw what Belgium did to them. I think Greece will be ready for them a month later.
  14. Greece got the 9 points as expected, the next 4 matches (twice against Belgium and Bosnia) will determine if Greece are worthy of qualifying for FIFA World Cup 2018.
  15. I understand Greece isn't play all that good, but as long as we win, we will take it
  16. I have recalled in 2009 she refused to take a doping test and decided to retire afterwards when IOC handed her a 2 year ban.
  17. Why is this being mentioned right now? Why not take care of this issue like 5 years ago?
  18. Him and Spanoulis are true Greek basketball legends, but Niko Galis is the greatest one of all.
  19. Great away victory, the best way to start the group stage.
  20. Sounds like he is not retiring and will be playing in his 4th Olympic Game. :)
  21. Found a video clip of the 2013 Mediterranean Games in Mersin, Turkey Kostas Douvalidis won gold medal in 110 m hurdle over the likes of Dimitri Bascou and Pascal Martinot-Lagrade. Wow!
  22. I just want to start a topic about a Greek female high jumper who was a huge surprise in both the 1996 European Championship in Stockholm and 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta. Both times she won silver medals in the women's high jump. She also won 3 gold in a not so major event (Balkan Cup) and 2 bronze and a silver in the Mediterranean Games. I recall watching the 1996 Atlanta game where she broke a national record with a score of 2.03 m. She battled with the world record holder from Bulgaria Stefka Konstadinova. Incredible for an athlete who is only 5'7". She was also in the Guinness Records for being the shortest female high jumper to pass 2.03 m (30 cm). It might have been one of the most memorable Olympic event 20 years ago. Thank you Niki!!! :)
