Pekhart arrived last night, not sure how I feel about him as his scoring record is pretty average, says he hasn't scored a goal since 2014 but I will give Poyet the benefit of the doubt as surely he will offer us more than what Maki ever did. Zucholini is a good addition, seen bits and pieces of him and he isn't a bad addition and cover for us, he is on the way to Greece as we speak. And speaking of Maki it seems we have off loaded him Poyet also said today another signing will be done this week, lets see if this happens and what player is brought in.

In Meli's fairness he has got AEK running as a proper club should be run, players getting paid on time coaches and management the same and not waiting 9 months for money, so credit to him for that. But we need to spend, we ALL know where we lack a CB and Striker is what we need most. Maybe you are right Greekfreak and the players we want wont come, but we should have a Plan B if that's the case. I just really hope if we don't bring in players we stay injury free, because if we get injuries we are F***ed.

The ones we brought in were loan deals and free agents, ok some of them are decent players who have done well so far, we have built a decent side but now we now to add to what we are building.... I don't expect massive money to be thrown around but add to where we are lacking

The first season I read we were $7mill euro in surplus, last season wouldn't have been far off that same figure, if not more with better TV revenues and OPAP sponsorship. This season again would've been more also, so to say we don't want to be in debt isn't a good excuse for me. We only spent $160K this season surely they can do better than that.

Tiger is a smart businessman and has shown it with Aegean. I know all AEK fans myself included get frustrated when he doesn't spend and rightly so but he has a plan and im sure the signings and money spending will come. Look at Juve as an example, they took 5 years after coming back from relegation to get to where they are, it didn't happen in a season or 2 now look at them. As frustrating as it gets, we as fans need to show patience, I say one thing to all my mates who bag him at times "imagine where AEK would be if Meli didn't step in"

I can see where Greekfreak is coming from with what he is saying and at the moment we are going very well, but if we get injuries then what? Say Aravidis and Djebbour get injured then what do we do????? We need a couple of new faces to come in and bolster the squad. January there are players available we just need to bring in the right ones. Then if we get to Europe I would expect us to spend and bring in a few attractive players.
