    2017-18 Season

I would take him, possibly Hugo Souza as a CD (I like him and his play) and Diamantopoulos as a bench striker for example who uses space up front very well, taking several men on his shoulders to open up spaces to our wingers. Others are debatable.

Yes, after Panahaiki another home game comes up. Good chance. And same here: Good luck to Ergotelis. Great game, much better than Genoa-Cagliari or Levante-Alaves type of matches. :D

    2017-18 Season

After this match, I am still worried about our (D)CM. Moumin, Intzoglou, Nikić, whoever two play there, don't cut for me. Very slow, all.

Ergotelis-Aris 2:3 Very entertaining match. After 2:0 at HT we managed to turn around and win eventually although the winner was off-side. Dounis subbed in at HT did the job as he was great together with Platellas.

    2017-18 Season

A solid 2:0 win against Kallithea at home. 2 times Diamantopoulos netted. Nothing special of a performance but 3 points are what we need counting match after match. Nothing of Mulahasanović. We have Branislav Nikić :p

    2017-18 Season

Absolutely. A Sanjurjo type of player back then, although his ratio of lost balls (unsuccessful passes and dribles, bad decisions in play etc) are higher than I expected and wanted.

    2017-18 Season

Thanks guys. As the season began now finally, I would come back more often to post and talk to you guys. Mitso, all is well, thank you. Hope all is better now with you than it was several years ago. And I agree, I even read the interview with Karipidis and concluded the same. Mitsos, I think logic is OK, and this tougher Hellenized Aris will be OK as we brought some guys who had serious Football league experience and know how to compete. Just hope we get with this until the end and be among top 2 clubs, looking tally the league from these positions from early on as we started this campaign, because if we fall off these top 2 positions sooner or later, it will be extremely difficult to catch up as we saw in the last season when we never did Lamia and A-Smirni after trailing them always by 2 or 3 win difference.

    2017-18 Season

Tough game, bad display, lack of creativity and lucky to get 3 pts in 90th. At least defense looked solid. Tactically we look better than last year, although it is still early, but I am afraid a decent amount of creativety left with Tatos. Very incoherent game plan in attacking midfield, many lost and air balls etc.

  10. Nothing new for Aris. Same old illnesses. Over and over. What can/should happen in order to learn something eventually?! Are Greeks really that bad managers??.... here I exclude ideal conditions when having more than necessary amount of cash like for example Olympiakos, so mistakes and misjudgements are not seen nor too costly when talking about Greek football standards where they are constant champions obviously. So, with more limited budget and sources, for example, you can not expect value-for-money and rational moves where you reach or even pass your plans and goals in business?! I can not believe, with so many people involved in managing in a last decade or even 2, all of them underperformed!

    New Investor?

Who is the guy anyways? Not sure I've ever heard of. Some notable businessman located currently in USA or? What's his business related to?
  12. Thanks Mitso and Alex. I hope all is well too with you and your families. :)
  13. Hello people, I promise I'll post more again :D Regardless of Aris being in lower classes recently, I still follow my team of course and can't wait to revive some good old days and matches with better teams than these from Gamma or Beta for sure. Looking forward to the rise of our team and our subforum as it was back then on the other side of Greek soccer. Damn I just took a look at the time of the "Aris Roster" topic creation and noticed it was 2008. Damn right spotted... 9 years later and a 9-year older Rey talks now :o Time flies. Cheers.

    2016-17 Season

To tell you the truth, I haven't watched all matches this season, but still quite quite enough to draw some subjective (general) conclusions. :D Disappointed as Mitsos and probably most of the Aris fans in and out of border. Not pleased with that Algerian fiasco (I mean Boughera and Djebbour stuff, totally unnecessary) and what to tell you about Kostenoglou. Never was a fan of the lad nor his football approach. So I wasn't happy with his promotion. At the start of this season I really was almost sure that we would catch the promotion, but unfortunately we were a real let-down in some matches that we should have won. Will be better. Trying to be positive!

It is good, thanks. I hope all is well with you, your son and family. We will see what happens with Aris. Overall, this is a promotion material for sure.

Close to the best line-up. Except if you add Karabelas to compete on that left wing back position and also Djebbour on the attack, this is pretty much it. Inside a line-up there are some combos and rotation, when offensive midfielders change their sides/positions, also trying Neto on midfield or side-back. So far Intzidis and Raul Bravo look secure on central defense. Top of the attack has quite some quality between Ilić, Kapnidis and Djebbour now fighting for one place or even 2 when we get on the pitch more offensively with 4-4-2 which also should be examined.

Brana Ilić and Luka Milunović. The first one was a regular starter and scorer of quite some goals for PAS Giannina a few seasons ago and I think you also recall it. The latter was a product of Red star Belgrade I think and was more less a regular part of Red Star first team not many seasons ago. So I assume that a regular Red star's first team player of close past is good enough for a 2nd category team Aris and should be a thankful addition. Milunović is a midfield player. AM, CM or LM if I remember well.

    Aris Roster

For now apparently it is Kelemen, but later on who knows if he can retain that position after being "threatened" by Sifakis. ;) The Aris season is long with 3 compets and many matches, definitely should and I guess will be given his chances!
