  1. Ideally, I want to see Mitroglou as Greece's striker. He is more high profile and I believe his ceiling is higher, but I tend to agree with you, maggica.
  2. Tzatziki, he is not some big star, but he provides something that no other player in Greece can, which is the will and ability to go at defenders. Even off the bench, if ever Greece needed a change in dynamic or swing in momentum, who better to come on than Fetfatzidis? We have too many marginal midfielders on this team that offer the same elements. My issue is why not have Fetfa as an option on the bench?
  3. Yes, many European leagues are playing cup matches this week.
  4. So funny bro the way you keep doing that. Your wit kills me
  5. FIFA is a complete joke. They keep putting the wrong starting lineups and now Manolas is not even an option for the NT because he wasn't called up due to injury last round. They just removed him from the Greek NT and won't be available again until he is called up vs Belgium in March. I know they want to make it as current as possible, but use some judgement. Morons working that database.
  6. Saying that scouts have come to see Sok and he is an option is ever Pepe doesn`t re-sign.
  7. Enough is enough. We are so limited in our offensive talent pool and yet we purposely ignore our most skilled, elusive player. He is the only player available for Greece right now whose first instinct is to take on defenders with the ability to back, thus adding a dimension that is currently non-existent in our game. This is getting ridiculous. To not even have him as an option on the bench is downright irresponsible. Skibbe, get your s%$#! together.
  8. He was playing like a man at 18, but his setbacks have stunted his grownth.
  9. Likely. He's a better CB than Mitro is as a striker.
  10. I'd rather have his skill, hunger, instinct, intensity for one game than have other some other players' lackluster performances in 3 is what I mean. Why is that strange to you?
  11. Benfica have several good CF/ST options of similar caliber. It`s very easy to fall out of favor in that scheme if you don`t execute in a couple of games.
  12. AEK86, one thing to remember is that they would say the same thing about us. Your assessment says less about the state of the Greek NT and more about the parity in international football, especially in Europe. Anybody can beat anyone on any given day. Just take a look at other groups in WC qualifying, we have one of the best records to date and even if we consider a loss in Belgium next match we would be 3-1-1; better than most those teams ahead of us in the rankings. Did we absolutely dominate Cyprus and Estonia? No. We did not play great, but our football isn`t attractive even when we do. Nevertheless, we got results, while many other teams with better FIFA ranking have been dropping points left and right to ''inferior'' sides.
  13. It`s so refreshing to see him being called a star when it seems like media and foreign fans alike do everything in their power to under-appreciate our top players.
  14. I am not denying that he is injury prone and bigger clubs will opt for the sure investment, but Pap has a huge upside if he stays healthy. Yes, you will respond with ''IF'', but nevertheless, all I am saying is that the gamble can pay.
  15. He will be back playing in January, but will miss Belgium due to suspension. He is elite on the pitch, but his setbacks never allow him to gain any traction for either club or country.
  16. He is absurdly injury prone but he will be available again sooner or later. One healthy game from Kpap is more valuable to the NT than 3 games from most everyone else. So, no, he cannot be ignored.
  17. The 3-CB formation is a must, but not to experiment vs Belgium. Wait until KPap is back and that unit will be lethal.
  18. Mainly because their development programs are light-years ahead of Greece`s.
