  1. Yea I could see that. We've seen it before. Should see it again.
  2. Club is a lateral move at best but Premier league is a nice step.
  3. Am I the only one that thinks KPapadopoulos should be a shoe in on DM alongside Tax/Sam/Zeca?
  4. I agree with most of your statement, but we did not downgrade. Our team is better than it has been in a long time and we haven`t played with a full lineup without injuries or suspensions in a while, including during the toughest stretch of this campaign.
  5. Many reports out of some decent English outlets are saying that both Chelsea and ManU have Sokrati in their transfer shortlist this summer. Love him at Dortmund, but having just turned 29, it may be a great time for him to make the leap.
  6. Molon, you misread, he said as long as France and Portugal top their groups, every other team is beatable. So we'd avoid them.
  7. It would be nice to see the top two seeds make it. Europe will always be hard to make it out of though. Unless we win out, including vs Belgium, gaining a healthy number of FIFA rankings points, it is likely we will draw one of Spain, Italy, France, Portugal or the like in the playoffs. One step at a time though.
  8. Kone, who will be 30 next month, can still compete for a callup next season. Same goes for Ninis who only recently turned 27. Samaras is done prematurely at 32. His career ended very suddenly; seems uninterested and may retire. But, yes, it's all about the next generation of Greek players planting their flag.
  9. Boxou, although I agree that they are slighlty overrated seeing how we handled them with a depleted side on Saturday, they will have no trouble for third place. It is up to us not to drop points to Estonia and Cyprus and try to get a result vs Belgium.
  10. Molon, Belgium is Belgium, we know what they are capable of, no reason to worry. Any result against them is a success.
  11. I believe that Gianniotas swinging his arm out of reflex after being dragged back will be perceived as aggression and provocation, deeming the Bosnian's actions self defence. Just watch.
  12. KPapadopoulos is too good to be left on the bench. He has to be on the pitch for his skill and leadership, even if that means playing him out of natural position at DM alongside Samaris or Taxi.
  13. Nothing will happen and you are right this incident, where a coach knocked a young player's teeth out, was barely reported. Most of the media attention garnered came from the square-off between Dzeko and Manolas.
  14. Although I am content with the draw, the fact that we basically blew what turned out to be two very winnable games vs Bosnia and Belgium, doesn`t bode well for us if we do end up making the playoffs. If they started today, Greece would draw either France, Italy, Portugal or Slovakia; 75% chance of a disastrous draw. We are ranked 40th and the next lowest 2nd place team is Northern Ireland at 28. We needed wins and I am afraid that if we don't get three points vs Belgium at home, we have no chance at being seeded come playoff time.
  15. If we don't get 3 points vs Belgium then we will be rooting for them vs Bosnia to secure us second spot. If we beat them, we will be rooting for Bosnia.
  16. They are friends. Blood was just hot. Our players are never intimidated anyway. Lucky KPap was suspended, he might have gone wild.
  17. We were better than you though. We owned the field in your home and should have won. Are you serious now?
  18. My point was I don't think Bosnia will get a result this time around seeing a 4-0 result a few months ago, but point taken I will retract my ''never''.
  19. @kosaca Touché but we all know Belgium 2010 is nowhere near Belgium 2017. I'll give it to you though you're quick.
  20. It only sometimes seems that Bosnia is better because of their aggressive style of play. Greece has more depth and more top class players. Bosnia would never do to Belgium what Greece did. That wasn't just a compact game, that was tactics and some highly skilled players executing. Yes, Bosnia was the more positive side in Athens, but we were missing Manolas and the only Bosnian goal came from a Pjanic set piece; not even through open play.
  21. Pjanic is in and we our missing 4 starters. How nice if would have been to play Bosnia with a full squad for once, they always get us depleted. Shame.
