  1. True. But isn't it a friendly? I thought players are supposed to take it a little lighter with the tackles I haven't even seen 21 fouls in an actual match lol.

The players are playing for their futures so they weren't taking it easy. So the fouls are easily explainable.

Not scoring is a major concern.

  2. Paidia it's a joke. If anyone believes it to be true, contact me as I have a great deal for you.

Someone has modified the Wikipedia entry to obviously show how much of a mess we are that we'd be playing the New Zealand Olympic team who couldn't even beat Fiji.

To make it completely farcical the match is scheduled for Christmas Day?!

  3. Just to rub it in I guess, but right now bein Sports are showing the last UCL group match against Arsenal from last season.

I never saw it at the time. Giroud scored 3 but Oly looked confident in the early minutes. Watching Silva on the touchline just reinforces that the club may not have made the right decision to part with him.

It was a bad result but the club was in the the UCL at least. Now they are staring at the abyss.

  4. I think if Olympiacos bomb this then there really is little hope for them and by extension Greek football.

If the reigning Champions can't beat the Asteras Tripolis of Portugal then they should all resign.

No slight on Arouca as I'm an Asteras fan but there should be a clear difference in standard here. I guess we all thought the same with the Israelis and we know how much of a s#it show that was.

  5. True that PAS went out with their heads held high, but EPO and the club themselves sabotaged their chances.

For a start the spot should have gone to Panionios so PAS were clearly unprepared. Up until 2/3 weeks before the Odd match they didn't have a team let alone a squad.

What sort of preparation is that? They bowed out to a better prepared opponent while also playing their "home" match in a stadium 500 kms away from Ioannina.

Lessons to be learnt all round. Preparation is everything if your playing in July and August to qualify for Europe.

  6. I was being specific to PAOK by singling out their dud signings when a Pelkas is as good or better than the equivalent foreigner.

I think PAOK's problems are endemic of the League and football culture as a whole in Greece. Every club is hoping for a rich benefactor/owner to come in and buy success.

Savvidis isn't attracting World class talent to PAOK. These guys that are coming (exceptions exist like Mak, Pablo Garcia or Vieirinha) are not better than the Greek players.

The fact that this is the 3rd time PAOK has failed in almost exactly the same circumstances has to force some sort of change.

  7. Loser mentality is all of us Greeks. When we achieve something it's usually a fluke or by good fortune. Or Jesus blessed us etc etc.

How about doing things properly once and for all. Get rid of the mercenary types from Greek football.

These low-grade rubbish foreigners who are taking the place of similar standard Greek players aren't helping the clubs nor the League.

Crap like Jairo, Biseswar, Sabo, Leovac and half a dozen other players are imposters and frauds.

  8. I thought he was talking about me I was like "dude what did I do? "

I understand his frustration. What can we do when we put our souls and passion in to our clubs that should be our pride but they dissapoint. Whether it's Oly or PAO or PAOK or AEK. It's just deflating.

I feel for everyone on these forums and especially in Greece. PAOK fans will feel equally bad.
