I've read from a post from Turkcell about the playoffs hurting the National Teams hope of qualifying to either World Cup or European Championship. From this topic, I would like to hear from you guys about the playoff tournament. What do you think?

My opinion is they should abolish it from the qualifying groups, including the European pool. It is unfair for the countries to have to play 2 extra matches or "Sudden Death" just to knockout the other teams from qualifying. It's fair if they have group winners & group runner-ups to qualify automatcally to a World Cup or European Championship. I have to disagree from Turkcell about the away goal rules. Away goals are hard to score when playing in somebodies home turf, when a team scores one it should be a x2 for that visiting team. That rule has been around for 50 years. :hypocrite:
