rodoj
Man, it's been a bad week. First PAO loses in the last few minutes, then Oly followed by PAOK and then my beloved Dallas Cowboys (NFL) lose in overtime. At least it's Friday and the week is just about over. Nikolaos
Here’s the actually tie-breaker format from UEFA, and it’s not head to head: 1) superior goal difference from all group matches played 2) higher number of goals scored 3) higher number of goals scored away 4) higher number of coefficient points accumulated by the club in question, as well as its association, over the previous five seasons (what the f*ck!) What it means is that, not only do we have to win our remaining games, but we have to score lots, and win by a good margin. Here are the current standings: -------------played----points---goals for/goals against----difference Rapid---------2----------6------------3----------0--------------(+3) Shakhtar-----3----------6------------3----------1--------------(+2) Stuttgart------3----------6------------4----------3--------------(+1) PAOK--------- 2----------0------------1----------3--------------(-2) Rennes--------2----------0------------0----------4--------------(-4)
Nikolaos
Plus we have to hope that the teams currently at the top do not get any more points....
Ziaka
I am pretty sure we are out of it. Our chances are slim. I only hope that PAOK goes out and gives their best in order to at least win the remaining two games, if only to return some pride to the team and get some points for Greece in the UEFA coefficients. Nikolaos
I agree Ziaka, our chances are slim. Two victories most importantly would restore some much needed pride and confidence in PAOK and in greek football... In regard to the other games we ideally need: 1- Rennes to beat Shakhtar by a big margin and 2- When Stuttgart hosts Rapid, at least one of those teams win by a big margin. If it's a tie, we're F***ed....
Batigol
I can't see Rennes beating Shakhtar by a big margin. In fact, I can't see them beating them at all. Rennes are pretty weak this year I think. But like you guys said, it's a matter of pride at this point.
