Ergotelis has essentially the same team as last year and they are in top form in B Ethniki! When I heard that Malesani will leave so many players out, I suspected what would happen. How is it possible for a team to glue when you change the entire midfield (Tziolis, Andric, Leontiou, Theodorides)? I can't understand why Malesani leaves Torghelle out! With his strength he can create a lot of trouble in the opponent's defence. Anyway one less target for this year :tdown: PS I didn't watch the game, but I watched the Euroleague game against CSKA. I completely agree with Grace. Why does Malezani insist on playing Gkeka when he can consistently misses goals that a blind man would score. The last time I saw something like that happening was on OFSP last year. DOKKAS could not score a goal even if God took over his body. But O Prodotis kept starting him. From what I had heard was the Bajevic was known for taking a percentage from certain players to allow them to start, even when they were in bad form. As others have said Ergotelis is the same team that won in Toumba and against Olymbiakos and lost 1-0 in the 90th minute in Leoforo... PAO is not performing well latelly and they were faced with the toughest opponent this new system in the Greek cup could bring them... Its much worse when PAOK loses to a 3rd division team... I watched the game sure we were missing Gonzales and the brazilian but thats no excuse..Pao did not do a thing today they hardly created any chances there was no passion to win..Ergotelis is thanking the Good lord they won..Pao players should be Praying to God there fans dont kick all there ass!!!!! Our players were almost always second to the ball in midfield, we created zero chances to score (aside from one header from Gekas from corner), and Ergotelis players moved the ball at will in the midfield. Some of the young players have a long way to go. Tziolis did not do much, Leontiou has more attitude than game, and Darlas lost his players more than once (had a cramp around the 70th minute. Not conditioned well enough I guess). Theodoridis played on the right but this should not be an excuse for not doing much. Overall, not enough heart from Panathinaikos players. Malezani did not have the team ready to play. It was sad to see after the goal that all we could muster were some desperate "giomes". Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
