jcoutavas Posted October 24, 2005 Share Posted October 24, 2005 What started as a wonderful opportunity to watch my first AEK / PAO derby live on ANT1 turned into my worst nightmare on Sunday. After a heroic draw with Barcelona last Tuesday I was expecting at the very very least a draw. It seemed we were on the right track after the second-half started off but I think a lack of focus and possibly some exhaustion took over. As far as Malesani goes I thought he should have started Olisadebe, Mantzios (where was he? injured?), or Papodopoulos ahead of Torghelle. I know Torghelle is the big man but haven't we learned from the NT that playing the long-ball to the big man doesn't work all the time? I was really surprised to see Torghelle start after making such a fuss about being substituted against Barca. Wooter did not belong in the starting eleven. It seemed he was pushed around in midfield and couldn't make good passes. Honestly, the game should have been 1-0 to AEK. The second and third goals were from lack of concentration from PAO. After Lymberopoulos scored the opener they seemed to just give up...and Vyntra (warming up behind the PAO goal) should know better than to kick the ball to Galinovic before it crosses the touch-line. Did he think nobody would have noticed? I'm not blaming him but in trying to save, at the most, four seconds he gave AEK the opportunity to capitalize on a freebie which they did. AEK wanted this more and got the result. Tough luck for PAO but let's put this behind us and try to do the same thing we did at home against Barcelona on 2 November. Here's some good news... almamatter Posted October 24, 2005 Share Posted October 24, 2005 Yesteraday we lost a good opportunity to come closer to Gavros, but thanks to our second team we managed to hold them at 4 points. I really think that we should blame ourselvs for not winning this one and not Vassara. The bottom line is to just win even 1-0, but we should rumble Aek from the first minute of the game. Ok, Gekas goal was easily not an offside because it wasn't a matter of who guards whom. It was a backwards pass from Nilsson. Even Vasarras himself could say that it is a valiable goal, even if the linesman was obviusly daydreaming at that moment. I am dissapointed that Malessani respected Aek as a team. He shouldn't and he would be satisfied today with an easy victory. Is it that hard to quit using Gonzales as a back half next to Conseisao ? I wonder when is he going to realise that... What I am saying is if the provider (ie the player who gives the pass whom I' believe was Pap) was in front of Gekas then isn't he playing the whole team onside ?? If that's the case then surely the Gekas regardless whether he is in front or behind an AEK player MUST be ONSIDE. I don't know the offside rules intimately but doesn't logic tell u this ? Either way, we had our chances in the 2nd 45 (ie, Olisadebe, Eki) but overall AEK deserved their win. As much as the loss hurts lets move on and focus on PAOK. if u look at the linesladie she lifts the flag the moment the ball passes the line!from gekas get to touch the ball to the ball goes in the time between is atleast 2 secs. or more so it was like he waited to see if the ball would pass or not to wave his stupid flag! now i think pao should do what frinos did some years ago demand vassaras out of our games ! frinos was allowed that why would we not be allowed that! ofcourse along with tsikinis and olymbriakos. btw i dont think vassaras was paid by aek cause aekaki has no money remember! it was again our beloved friend vromokokkalis Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sounds like a whole lot of loser talk to me....3-0...This isn't an accident.. how many wins in cl do u have?u have a shiity little team living in the past for 2 seasons now! what have u done in europe for 2 years now? how may penaltys did u get last year? the same shitty team that kicked your asses on opening day the same team that will win the protathlima this year again i dont know u might recall last year we went further in europe then u penalties: how many "penalties" did u get while the exact "penalty" was denied to the otrher team thats the question u need to ask! next question!
