And, if by any chance, we get a good result, I don't want to hear that from now on things will be OK. WE NEED A CHANGE IN ATTITUDE AND IN PEOPLE. Look, we've been down before, but it's rarely we're so screwed up. So far I haven't seen the team playing good ball. I haven't seen cohesion either. I don't think Shoum has been making the right choices, but he hasn't had the big players PAO needs. And, if we are thrashed by the Germans, we need to make clear that drastic change is to take place immediately. They should bring someone who knows the Greek mentality and how things operate in Greece, and most importantly PAO's history. What happened to Rocha, Kyrastas? And, you know, don't laugh, but bring Saravakos and other great players to work with the current players. We've lost our connection to our great past. As for the game on Wednesday, our boys should run for 90 minutes, because the Germans, like the Brits, don't quit until the final whistle. I'm praying to Zeus... It seems to me that last Spring after PAO lost the championship in extremis many came out scapegoating, speaking of teams and players that completed their cycle, and asking for changes. Changes did happen! Several good players left or were dropped because they were deemed to have a loser's mentality and new blood came in. And now, when the results are bad, we are told again that drastic changes are needed. Drastic changes are easy. Building a good team is not. It requires intelligence, talent, hard work, and PATIENCE. Exactly the opposite from the regimen advocated by the "my feelings were hurt, let us fire someone so I will feel better" school of thought. What good is it when we hail the new chief who is the same as the old chief. We can bring in as many players as we want, the questions remain, do they fit the system that is trying to be implemented, if not, then we are screwed. I believe the new players were signed because they were signings to be made and spots to fill. I don't think any type of reasoning went into the signings. For this game I think they should have Papadopoulos and Warzycha up front. I don't think many of you would agree w/ this, but Warzycha can play at least 20 minutes. The reason is Warzycha would like to show he can still cut it, so I'm sure he would play his ass off, and Papadopoulos is hungry with a lot of confidence! As the commentator said from era sport, they went to defend instead playing soccer. In the press conference after the game, shum said that he was happy with his teams performance even though Pao lost 2-0. In the commentators words from era sport," Shum dosen"t know at what team he is at and this was the worst Pao team he has seen in 25 years" unquote. And the Rabi said in the press conference that he still beleives that Pao can qualify intro next round. Vardithogianides, Zaets and all the other clowns must go! Enough is enough! I'm very disappointed, and I hate to be talking like this about our PANATHA, but, folks, this is the bitter truth. We are not of Euro caliber. I like all the Greek teams to do well in Europe, but with the early exit of all 3, then all will have to concentrate on the Greek league.... Unfortunately, I'm not confident that we have the team to competer domestically either.. What else can I say? I wish I were in Greece to do something... It feels like Tourkokartia....
