4.37m.: World Youth Best by Katerina Stefanidi

20.2.2005 Katerina Stefanidi cleared 4.32m. and then 4.37m. to set a double all time world youth best, but also to equal the women's pole vault record for Greece and set the qualifying standard for the European Indoor Championships. (www.athletix.org)

I would like to add that Katerina is only 15 years old. She is one of the up and coming Greek track star athletes.

Keep your eyes open for a young Greek javelin thrower name Ioannis Kyriazis. He's a Texas A & M student and threw a personal best 88.01 m at Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. He moved to 9th place all-time for under 23 European athletes, ahead of Jan Zelezny and Andreas Thorkildsen. Watch him this July in Bydgoszcz, Poland for the Under 23 European Championship.
