Turkish Players Abroad

Recommended Posts

Sanli Tuncay is targeted by a few Premiership clubs according to his agent Erdinc Sehit. He did not mention any names but it's believed that the clubs keeping an eye on the 23-year-old forward are Birmingham, Everton and Arsenal...

- I hope he goes to none of them... He needs a bigger club than Birmingham and Everton are already relegation-bound for the nezt season. And I simply hate Arsenal...

Also PSV Eindhoven and Ajax AFC are interested in Galatasaray's sensational striker Ates Necati... Both Dutch giants have made their bids to the Istanbul club and are expecting a reply until the summer period. Ates Necati's contract expires by June 2006...

- Dutch League is no better than the Turkish and the Dutch teams in Europe are not performing well. I hope he stays cause he will be the key player in our long-expected CL run next year...

That is the best time to buy them when they are young and can be taught!

Going from the Turkish League to the Dutch League may not be a bad step but who is that fellow who went to...Denmark? I thought Danish League football is still amateur / semi-pro!

Yeah but then maybe he can play offensive right midfielder as i allways have wanted him to play.

he is an average player when he plays the right wing.he's only sensational when he plays the striker or centre-forward...

OH MAN BASTURK BASTURK BASTURK. When Hertha won Schalke with 4-1 he did: One assist and one goal, and he got the penalty that marcelinho put in, and he was in the play before the last goal. he is great man. He will surely help turkey qualify to WC 2006

he's leaving inter for sure, he said a while back it was the bigest mistake of his career joining this team, he's as good as done.

what about this s%$#!??? Nihat is on the verge of joining CSKA Moskva for a super deal not only in terms of contract but also the fee. Well, that probably did not seem enough for our Russian friends! After Shakhtar, now Dynamo Moskva is interested in signing Trabzonspor's NT defender Seyhan Tolga from his club. Trabzonspor coach Senol Gunes said he would never let him move to a league that is inferior to the Turkish SuperLeague. Shakhtar's initial bid of €2.5M for the player was rejected. It's rumoured that Dynamo will make a bid around €4.5M to secure the defender's services. The player is earning YTL700k from his club (around €600k yearly) and Russians' offer of wage will be around €1.6M per season!!! Let's see the developments in the future!

Trabzonspor's international central back Seyhan Tolga will sign a contract with Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday, Trabzonspor Football Director Ibrahim Sahin said on Monday. The player agreed for a yearly €1.1M contract for two-years plus one option to the Ukrainian club. Trabzonspor will get €2M immediately after the player's signature and Shakhtar will also pay installments of monthly €100k to Trabzonspor until June 2006, which will make the deal a total of €3.2M in total for the Black Sea based Turkish club.

It seems we have another foreigner! Good Luck Tolga!!! ;)

During this transfer season, former Galatasaray and Fenerbahce player Fatih Akyel joined Greek club PAOK and 14-times capped centre-back Tolga Seyhan joined Ukrainian big spenders Shakhtar Donetsk.

But this transfer is surely the most important of them all! After undeservedly spending the last seasons on the fringes of Internazionale, Turkish international playmaker Emre Belozoglu joined Newcastle for four-years. He'll be given €2.8M yearly (the biggest wage earned by a Turkish player ever).

An Emre admirer, Newcastle manager Graeme Souness stated that "This is a very positive move not only for Emre himself but also for our club." Former Galatasaray legend Souness and another Galatasaray memoiree Dean Saunders were ecstatic confirming the little player's signing.

Celtic and newly-promoted West Ham tabled bids around €3M mark for out-of-favour Turkish goalkeeper Rustu to La Primera Champions FC Barcelona. The custodian's first choice is known to be Fenerbahce but should the Turkish giants not be able to offer the money FC Barcelona wants than Rustu could head north.

Hamit Altintop, speaking to BILD AM SONNTAG, said that he will leave Schalke but not in this transfer period. The versatile Turkish international also added that his next destination could be Turkey if the offer to come would be right. Fenerbahce is believed to have made a bid to the German club for the German-based Turk.
