ukchris
My word - just looked at the other result tonight and I'm very surprised to see that Sporting lost 0-1 at home to Sochaux. So that leaves the table looking like this... 1 Newcastle 3 3 0 0 +7 9pts 2 Sporting 3 2 0 1 +6 6pts 3 Sochaux 3 2 0 1 -1 6pts 4 Panionios 3 1 0 2 6 -1 3pts 5 Dinamo Tbilisi 4 0 0 4 -11 0pts So that means it all comes down to the Sochaux game - which Panionios have to win there. But, as they've both got the same goal difference, a win in France will DEFINITELY be enough to take the Panthers through. It's going to be a tough one - but then who would've thought we'd have beaten Udinese (currently 3rd in Serie A) to even get to the group stage?! If there's one thing that characterises Greek football in 2004, it's daring to dream...
drakos13
its a really hard match, but Panionios have a chance if they play good defense. lets not forget Newcastle was lucky to win, and that Panionios did tie the game up in Lisbon ------but then they broke down....
