JOHNNY
Tonight, Rangers play CSKA Moscow in the first leg of the Champions League qualifier. The Russians, who are heavily financed by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, were one of the strongest unseeded sides in the draw, and will provide a real test for the Ibrox side. The Gers are not helped by the fact that the Russian league started a couple of months back. Tomorrow night, Dunfermline face Icelandic side FH Hafnafjordur in the first leg of the Uefa Cup qualifying round. The match will be played in Perth at the home of St Johnstone, after the Icelanders refused to play of the plastic pitch at East End Park. The match will be Craig Brewster's 4th venture into Europe, who is still seeking his first taste of victory. Previous efforts with Dundee United, Ionikos and Hibernian, have resulted in defeat against Brondby, Nantes and AEK.

The2ndMouse
I think the Russians will be a tough nut to crack even if Rangers did score once away. On top of that Russian teams are on their peak thanks to early Championship start
Irlandos
New signing Alex Rae could be in trouble from Uefa, after appearing to kick an opponent in the head - an action missed by the referee. Is this the Rae who used to play for Sunderland AFC? :la:
JOHNNY
The very one. He is now about 34 years old, and surely in the twilight of his career. A Rangers fan as a kid, signed as a youngster, but failed to make an impression. Not a bad way to finish your career - getting another chance after all those years.
