Happy to stay Although the 33-year-old has extended his stay with the Istanbul side, the details of the new deal have not been released. A Galatasaray statement said the player did not make any financial demands during talks over his future. "The player turned down several tempting offers and preferred to stay at Galatasaray and enjoy our centenary with us next year," the club said. Very experienced Hakan Sukur returned to Galatasaray before the 2003/04 season for a third spell at the club he helped to UEFA Cup success in 1999/00. The 28 year-old Cameroonian central-back signed a three-year deal with the club on Sunday. Managing Director Fatih Goksen also added that Galatasaray were still interested in taking over the services of Marcelo Arnaldo Gallardo of River Plate despite the refusal of the tiny playmaker to the latest offer of the Lions...
