After the unexpected departure of Sakip Ozberk, the southeastern club were looking for a coach for a while. Ozberk left for Konyaspor a week ago. "Diyarbakirspor should start re-building its squad rigth now as many important players left or are leaving the team." said the newly-appointed coach. Defensive midfielder Kaies Ghodbane and goalkeeper Senol Karagol have already walked out of the club to join Samsunspor and Ankaraspor respectively. It's believed that Murat Hacioglu is about to sign a three-year contract to Konyaspor and sweeper Burhan Saatcioglu is bound to join Erciyesspor on June 1.
