Santos
Krauss takes over at Admira Bernd Krauss has been appointed the new coach of Austrian Bundesliga side VfB Admira Wacker Mödling, replacing sacked coaching duo Rashid Rachimow and Alfred Tatar. Vast experience The 47-year-old Krauss, a former Austrian international, has gained vast experience in European football since starting his coaching career with VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach and progressing to Real Sociedad de Fútbol, BV Borussia Dortmund, RCD Mallorca and Aris Thessaloniki FC. Weekend debut Krauss has signed a one-year contract with the option for another season, and will take charge of his first game on Saturday, when sixth-placed Admira travel to SK Rapid Wien. Kept side afloat Rachimow had already agreed to leave Admira at the end of his contract in the summer, but club president Heinz Weiss dismissed the Russian and his Austrian partner Tatar following Admira's 2-1 away defeat by SV Austria Salzburg on Saturday. The pair were appointed ahead of the 2001/02 campaign, avoided relegation in their first year and ensured that little-fancied Admira have stayed well above the relegation places this term.
