Vaggar
This is based on info that I gathered while I was in Greece, so the standings are 2-3 weeks old. Some well known teams (Ialysos, Anagennisi Giannitson, Apollon Kr. Vrisis etc) are fighting to get back to the national leagues.
dave
Dear Vaggar Do you know something new about the situation of Panelefsiniakos? The team is still unbeaten? He has still a 0 in the goals conceided? And if Panelefsiniakos will end the season at the first place it will be directly promoted to D division or there will be playoffs? Thank you very much! Offside_Ref
Hi Vaggar Thanks for the list. Where did you get all the results? Are they available in Greek newspapers or on the web? I'm really interested in results from Zakynthos. All the best John
Vaggar
These results I got them from newspapers in Greece. Several of them you can find them in the web, usually from local newspapers that have webpages. But I haven't found anything for Zakynthos yet. Dave, I don't have any new info for Panelefsiniakos. But don't worry there is no chance that Panelefsiniakos will not be the champ. And from what I know it will get an automatic promotion to the D' division. Offside_Ref
Hi Vaggar Thanks for that. What newspapers would you recommend? My local Greek shop imports papers from Greece so I might be able to get them in. Cheers John

pierikos
Hi Vaggar. This is the situation in Pieria for the Play-offs. The 1st (GAS Svoronou) play the 4th (Olympos Vrontou) and the 2nd (Pydna Kitrous) play the 3rd (Vataniakos Katerinis) on a home - away - home basis. If a team makes 2 wins they dont need a 3rd game. The 2 teams that qualify play in the same way in the final and the winner is promoted to D' division. So far...... GAS Svoronou - Olympos Vrontous 1-0 Olympos Vrontous - GAS Svoronou 3-0 This week its GAS Svoronou - Olympos Vrontous again, with the home team needing only a win to qualify to the final because if its a draw, Olympos has better goal difference. Pydna Kitrous - Vataniakos Katerinis 1-0 Vataniakos Katerinis - Pydna Kitrous 2-1 The winner enters final.

pierikos
Hey Vaggar. Im a coach driver mate! I carry teams around and listen to all the background info! There is so much to D division you guys dont know! I go to most Pierikos games and some Locals. I do soccer stats for 235 countries mate. I know its MADNESS! Vaggar
Its not madness, believe me. :D When I was in Greece I was also very involved. I would read 2 sport newspapers every day (athlitiki iho and Fos initially, iho and sportime later), 3 on Sunday's. I would cut pieces and articles from the newspapers and keep them in archives. I had a special folder with all the info that were published on Chalkida in these newspapers. I would listen to the sport radio shows every day - all day, and I would even tape them when they will refer to great wins of AOX. But now that I had to move to the USA, all that is behind me. :(
pierikos
I know what you mean. The same happens to me when I go to Australia. I go and come almost every year. At least I get to see South Melbourne over there, and Pieriko here. Where abouts in the US you live? Are you from Halkida? I went and watched Halkida-Pierikos play at Almyro for the extra play-offs in summer. I liked Halkida. They had a very fast and strong team and I was expecting them to do better this season in C' Division. I love soccer and visit so many team stadiums all over the world. 2 years ago I went and watched my beloved Fiorentina play in Venezia but we lost and went to 2nd division. 3 weeks ago I watched Servette. I also was lucky to get some photos of the Monaco, Feyenoord and Juventus stadiums. If you ever need any info on anything, just ask for it. Vaggar
I grow up in Chalkida, then I moved to Iraklio for my studies, and the last 3.5 years I am living in Lexington Kentucky. I also love soccer but I haven't been in any game outside Greece. Its something that I really like to do, I mean I would live to go see a Barcelona-Real or a Inter-Milan game. You should consider sending some of these pictures to Ziaka, The2ndMouse or Lazarus to put them in the photogalery. Thanks for the willingness, be sure that I will ask your help :D
