Phantis
http://football.guardian.co.uk/breakingnew...3662609,00.html Amateur club Bayonne caused a huge upset in the second round of the French Cup by scoring in extra time to knock Girondins Bordeaux out of the competition on Friday. The 10,000 supporters of the fourth division team erupted when Frederic Bernaleau blasted a 20-metre free kick into the far corner after 118 minutes in the driving rain, leaving France international goalkeeper Ulrich Rame stuck in the mud. xavier73
The2ndMouse
What Xavier want to say is that the weather was way too bad and normally the heavy rain would cause the game to be postponed but no room in the Bordeaux Callendar meant it went ahead with the result of the better team missing way to much at the end due to the heavy terrain... kal
Bayonne is playing PSG on the next round, and wenesday it's the big match between Monaco and Lyon. However as Monaco not a lot of player to play championship, CL, french cup, normally it won't be the real team but younger player who are going to play for Monaco.
