Omonoia9
Wow, sorry folks. FINAL REGULAR SEASON 2010-2011 STANDINGS 1. APOEL-62 2. Omonoia-50 3. Anorthosis-45 4. AEK Larnaca-42 ----------------------- 5. Apollonas-38 6. Olympiakos Lefkosia-36 7. Enosis Neon Paralimni-36 8. AEL Limassol-33 --------------------- 9. Ethnikos Axnas-33 10. Ermis Aradippou-30 11. Alki-29 12. AEP Paphos-26 ----------------------- 13. Doxa Katokopias-20 14. APOP Kinyras-19 Let me explain the 4 sections. The top section is the main playoffs. Those 4 teams will play each other home-and-home over the course of the next 6 weeks. As you can see, Anorthosis has only a slim chance of catching APOEL, and Omonoia's chances aren't much better. Alas, this is the last hurdle APOEL need to overcome to dethrone Omonoia. The second section is a safe zone. All those teams stay up. Whoever finishes at the bottom of the 3rd section is relagated, that would be AEP at this point. Doxa and APOP are already guaranteed to be relegated. Euro2004
Do the top 4 go into Europe or is it the top 3 plus the cup winner?
Omonoia9
Do the top 4 go into Europe or is it the top 3 plus the cup winner? Never the same. We'll see
Irlandos
...and the winners of the 2011 championship are: APOEL! Anorthosis had a horrible first half and Omonia were not quite up to par with the yellow-blues this year. Well done to APOEL, better luck to the others and may we see a more competitive league next year! :)
Omonoia9
Correct, as APOEL beat Omonoia 2-0 in Week 2 of the playoffs. 4 more weeks of playoffs, and then APOEL will re-assume the crown.
Irlandos
So, what happens now that the last 4 weeks are meaningless? Time to try out your young footballers?
Euro2004
I guess that really depends on whether all the teams are guaranteed first team football or whether the team that finishes 4th is out all together
