Panathinaikos vs Panionios

Excuse my ignorance folks, but where are Panathinaikos playing their home games these days? Looks like I'll be in Athens at the weekend, so obviously keen to go along for this game. Are away supporters allowed at PAO games?

Thanks folks! Don't think we've got much of a chance of winning, but it'd be nice to be there (and visit another Greek stadium).

Note: instead of opening a new thread, I edited the title, so let's have the discussion here about Sunday's game against Panionios. [7pm local time]

Spyropoulos is out (agreement with Panionios), but Seitaridis will probably start on the right.

Panionios is a good team and this is no time for us to have a heart attack.

I sense PAO will take this one by scoring early.

i heard it on Skysports news too..

they said something like...

''With the transfer season a mere 2 months away, Man-Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson has his eyes set on a few potential target including young greek sensation Sotirios Ninis.. blah blah... the next few weeks with games in league championship and europe will have many observers on the young talent begininng with this weekends game in athens as the lieks of Arsenal, Inter and AC Milan are also interested.

I like the attention... I just want to win

Yeah, ManU has a bizzillion scouts, most of which work for themselves and recommend names hopping to get a commission. Some of them are Greek agents who send a note to the newspapers "I am going to watch so and so" and probably none of them are known to Ferguson

Why can't they find something meaningful to write? I want to know more about this system of training where they monitor the players live during the games with a sensor under their shirts. What is it? What does it do? Is it the reason we don't get as many muscle injuries as in past years?

They aren't just rumours, there's definitely interest. The extent of that interest may be exaggerated for all we know but there's something there. It's in all the British papers too and the Italian ones re: Milan. He was also man of the match in the Greece u21 vs England u21 game so it's only natural that he'd be noticed by an English club.

Having said all that I don't believe he'll earn his mega-move. Big clubs seem reluctant to invest in Greek talent

Was Ninins's first goal of the season last week in the cup game?

I don't think Panionios can do anything in this game. It's over early. PAO should enjoy this game. Play for the fans.

Frees up TKate to sub 3.

With the numerical advantage and two goals from 11 we turned off the engines and Panionios got a little too excited. We do have the game at Sturm coming up so I assume that's in the back of their minds. I think a couple more goals in the second half will end this humble affair.

Karagounis, Katsouranis, Darlas, Bjarsmyr have been abysmal.

Karagounis with the exception of the first goal, has been off with his ball distribution. Katsouranis is bad all around (but I thought the same last game when he scored a couple. Maybe he'll come back in the second half). Bjarsmyr allowed a couple of players to walk right in the box behind him a little too easily. Our left side is wide open with Darlas out there.

Tzorvas is winning my trust with these saves. The tete-a-tete stop was class, and he did well to deflect the other shot from inside the box. I have to see the crossbar play again but it didn't look like Tzorvas had a chance. It was a nice freekick delivery.
