athinaios Posted May 11, 2009 Share Posted May 11, 2009 I don't trust Halkias and he shouldn't be on the national team. But, this goal is not his fault. A goalie plays the angles... Kara (or another PAO player) could have come inside the box in which case Halkias would have a wider area to defend... It was the PAOK players that failed.... They let Kara from the midfield to slalom all the way to the top of the box virtually unchallenged. Kara's shot was a beauty and a sign of a world class player. This was a great result but a horrible performance considering PAO played with 1 man advantage the whole 2nd half. On the other hand, I think this will make our life easier... The other teams are coming to realize that their place is in UEFA... :LOL: Did I say that I still believe the 2nd finisher (PAOK) should have gone to the CL...
