Omonoia9
Final regular season standings: APOEL-69 Omonoia-64 Anorthosis-62 AEL Limassol-43 ---------------------------------------------- Apollonas-43 APOP Kinyras-40 Ethnikos Axnas-40 Doxa Katokopias-31 ---------------------------------------------- AEP Paphos-27 Enosis Neon Paralimni-25 APEP Kyperounda-23 Alki-19 --------------------------------------------- AEK Larnaca-15(RELEGATED) Atromitos Yeroskipou-7(RELEGATED) If you're confused let me try as best I can. The dividers epitomize newly formed groups that the remainder of 12 of the 14 teams will play. Just as last year, 6 matches have been added on to each team's schedule, all to played within these groups. By finishing 1-4, APOEL, Omonoia, Anorthosis, and AEL will play out their season, by playing each other twice once in each building. The purpose of this is to tighten the level of competition to end the season. Teams that finished 5-8 are Apollonas, APOP Kinyras, Ethnikos Axnas and Doxa Katokopias. These teams are out of the title race, but at the same time face no danger of relegation. Teams 9-12 are AEP Paphos, Enosis Neon Paralimni, APEP Kyperounda, and Alki. Whoever finishes last in this group, will be relegated. AEK Larnaca has finished 13th and has been relegated. Atromitos Yeroskipou has finished last and has been relegated. I believe all regular season points earned to this point still apply, correct me if I am wrong, Irlande
Irlandos
The points are carried over so APOEL have to defend a 5-point lead over six matches to be declared champions. As the 2nd-place finishers - along with the Cupwinners - enter the UEFA Cup, it's important for Omonia to maintain their two-point lead over Anorthosis or they will be eliminated from Europe. Omonoia9
Correct, furthermore, new for this year, whoever finishes 2nd in Cyprus will get a bye following the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Cup(formerly UEFA Cup)
