Rosenberg laments Bremen defending

Werder Bremen striker Markus Rosenberg admitted the Bundesliga side were defeated by a "more effective" team as Olympiacos CFP clinched their place in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League with a 3-0 win in Piraeus.

Hahaha, what a silly boy :P

"Olympiakos need to be stronger away from home". Being better away from home is what earned us the sweet 16 spot you moron. We friggin dominated you most of the game in Germany fool! :nono:

This insults me even more since i'm half Swede

The key to progress as i see it is how we play at home. We need to win and preferably not concede any goals to have a good chance of making it to the last eight.

i am talkin about points coming from wins and draws. not qualifyin for the champions league.

aek went to the cl 1 time more then pao has. thats 3 coefficient points just for qualifying. oly has been there 4 times more then pao. that 12 points.

in the last two years oly has been in the cl 2 times and pao 0 thats 6 points to oly for qualifying. pao is tied with them however in points due to their results. thats what i meant.

in the last 15 years, pao has been in the cl less often then aek and oly but we still managed to bring in more points for greece. without the bonus points.

i.e more wins this is what i meant

The basis for the UEFA rankings is the performance of teams in the European Cups during a five year period. During that period each team gets two points for a win and one point for a draw. From 1999 on these points are halved for qualification matches: one point for a win and half a point for a draw. One bonus point is allocated for reaching the quarter final, the semi final and the final. Reaching the group stage of the Champions League yields three bonus points (before 1996: 2 points, from 1996-2004: 1 point). As of the 2004/05 season teams qualifying for the first knock-out round of the Champions League will be awarded with an extra bonus point. The so-called UEFA coefficients are calculated by taking an average, based on the total number of points divided by the total number of teams of each country.

just for having the exact numbers. but anyway. i have to agree with you, that pao has collected more points in the last years than us...

I dont think you are allowed by Uefa to change your stadium half way through a competition.Karaiskaki is owned by Olympiakos while Oaka management will propably ask for more money but who cares, you have a valid point,i just dont believe that is posible.

No point in moving to OAKA anyway. The atmosphere there stinks, with the track field pushing the fans back.

Folks, numbers isn't everything. Karaiskaki is a much superior edra.

????

between the 1996-1997 and 2000-2001 european seasons, pao was in the CL 2 times, uefa cup 2 times and 1 year, 1997-1998, pao didn't qualify for europe.

between the 1996-1997 and 2000-2001 european seasons, aek was in the uefa cup 3 times and the cup winners' cup 2 times.

so, actually...pao's points during the 1996-1997 - 2000-2001 european years were boosted by bonus CL points.

the fact remains, aek was better in europe than pao during those years. naturally, since the 2001-2002 euro seasons, pao has gathered more points..but, you said 15 years.

the perception isn't reality for the past 15 years.

look it up..

Amen. This pretty much sums up a reply I was gonna write to vazelas' allegedly congratulatory post where he trashes gavroi's performance in the match (despite a 3-0 result), while scattering shameless plugs of PAO all over the post. And the signoff 'you finally friggin' did something'. I mean, what's up with that?

Let's be honest, this was really an insulting post. It's like the racist who says 'you know, you're OK for a (insert nationality)'.

And the thing about the grandfather jumping and clapping 'like a little retarded kid'. How about just 'like a little kid'.

Pure kathiki. As if Oly didn't create their own chances. Werder controlled nothing, no coordination and even less finish.

And how much better can a side play away than the gavroi did? I guess we could have beaten Werder 1-4 or 1-5 instead of the lowly 1-3.

If this m#$%! thinks he's gonna get inside the players' heads, he's dreaming. I hope we trounce his NT this summer, and Werder gets thumped by a Greek side in UEFA Cup play.

haha.. true.

also i said 15 years. This goes back to 92. i think aek went two times more. then u add last year.

i was just saying that pao consistently perform, well in europe. They are the one constant.

as for Nick99. First off, you werent there to watch him. it was like a RETARDED little kid. trust me.

Second of all, you honestly think Oly played well in the final game. they played really bad until the 2-0. if werder would of scored, believe me it would of been different.

Pao played like crap against Aberdeen and i said. Even if we won 3-0

Read all the posts during the game, not only mine, and u will see that oly was gettin dominated. But in football, it not always who plays better but who scores the goal.

This is funny man. Tha to diabazei kapoios xenos afto to nhma kai tha leei 'ti tsakonontai autoi oi malakes gia papoudes kai gia poia ellhnikh omada einai h kaluterh'.

God bless your papou, and I hope he gets to enjoy many more successes of his beloved club, and even of the NT, and hopefully some very soon.
