aekrossoponti
For all those that think greek football starts with otto... Machlas goal that meant world cup 1994... :nw: :nw: :nw: The crowd goes mad, actually a common sight in greece at that time...enjoy! lets hope we see similar scenes at ethniki games in the future, but i seriously doubt it... :gr: :gr: :gr:
dark_horse
That was some kind of atmosphere, it was the 'golden' goal ever scored for our country. Machlas was a stud back then! :gr: :nw: :gr: :nw: :gr: :nw: :gr: :nw: :gr:

TheCity1924
Unbelievable atmosphere!!! That is exactly what needs to happen in March against Turkey. To Karaiskaki tha tous ginei kolasi!!!
aekrossoponti
sadly, we will not see something like this anytime soon. one reason is the uefa fines and the second is the national team crowd, few fanatics. something that really bothers me is that our home games are always in karaiskaki. first off, i never saw good atmosphere there for any nt game. secondly, i didnt give us any luck in the wc qualifying. back then, nt games were all over the country...athens, saloniki, crete...imagine playing turkey in thessalonikis kleanthis vikelidis... First off I'd agree with moving the games to Thessaloniki, or if Leoforo was still up I'd move it there. Regarding the video... i promise you guys when i saw that atmosphere i got a kavla you could swing from! I'm not joking i havent had a kavla like that since the first time i saw porn!  :gr: :gr:

drakos13
Machlas was a star back then, one of my favourite players. I miss those days, fans were even crazier commentary was FAR better that commentator ( i think mavromatis?) made games a lot more exciting....also the teams werent full of crap foreigners and there was heart...also the equipment was not so advanced so you could still hear most of the stadium......a shouting commentator and a louder stadium are all you should ever hear in a football match. I dont get why its changed and toned down so much in Greece and around the world. It makes it dull. would like to see it vs Turkey in march but i doubt it...no fun anymore
dark_horse
would like to see it vs Turkey in march but i doubt it...no fun anymore We need to come up with a plan on how we can make Karaiskaki a hostiel atmosphere for our Turkish players. On March I'm planning to bring perhaps 10 of my Greek friends from Stockholm to travel to Pireaus. It would be nice to bring some more 'renforcements' to the stadium, maybe I'll try to find some crazy Greek fans in Pireaus. :D It's time to make Karaiskaki a battleground for our Ethiniki!! No more of this stupid 'family oriented' atmosphere!! :box: WE NEED MORE CRAZY GREEK FANATICAL FANS COMING UP IN MARCH!!!! We're playing 1 day prior to Greek Independance day! It should be a special occassion! :gr: :nw: :gr: :nw: :gr: :nw: :gr: :nw: :gr: :nw: :gr:

If i was there with my bro I guarantee our section would be HOT I'd get everyone going around me. if then you were a few seats down you could get people around you going, etc. The point is there are fans willing to create an atmosphere but its too hard to get tickets :(
drakos13
dark horse: find crazy Greek fans in Pireaus? good luck finding GREEKS in Pireaus!!!!!!!!!!!! but i agree.....family oriented atmospheres can go blow themselves. their is some intensity left but its not the same, and its not as fun by anymeans. at national games we only really have 2 chants too...that should change.....the den stamatw na tradoudw pote is getting kind of stale... Ethnikitsi: dont bother with tickets man theyre not going to let you in with your toufeki anyways

There needs to be a little chaos, without it there is no life (however the saying goes)
