I could say that I wont watch this team anymore but I know I will be back on these boards with the game on the TV next time regardless. Sort of curious how much worse it could get.

Greece getting a real established coach isnt going to happen with the budget given. Their best bet is to try to strike lightening with a young coach who is looking to build his career. What I saw today was potentially worse than Skibbe and I didnt even think that was possible.

They just need to clean house of the players. Promote all the U21s with Manolas, Stafiliadis, Fortounis and Papastathopoulos as the only carry overs. It may not produce wins but hopefully will send a message.

Karelis angry that his team mates couldnt accurately head the ball to him.... If they possessed that sort of skill wouldnt it have been better for them to have headed it into the corner of the goal? Also, Karelis looks out of shape and like hes put on 20 pounds.

I would take one legged, crippled Ninis over Giannoulis

Its honestly remarkable how a player can look so much worse than his peers on a team that is awful but Giannoulis seems to have pulled it off.

This team knew what they needed before the match and still played with no intensity nor took any real risks. The saddest part is my father follows Ipswich town who is last in championship. I asked him besides Manolas and Sokratis if he would want any of the players on a last place english championship team... he said he couldnt think of anyone who would improve their team. This team is a train wreck.

I am not ready to suggest that Tsavellas and Tsiolis dont care about the team but instead are just past their expiration dates. This team isnt world beaters but could be a solid team that can get a result. However, the margin of error with lack of depth and poor coaching/selections is all it takes to make them a laughing stock.

Skibbe should have been fired for drawing to Estonia at home during the previous WC qualifying for how he approached the game. Not once has the team looked to impose themselves. After years of Skibbe being in charge they still lack anything resembling an identity besides playing old, slow and over the hill players.

It also doesnt help that arguably some of our best young talent never came to fruition either through injury or stupidity. Ninis without injury wouldve probably been this teams best player and Katidis(only himself to blame for derailing a promising career) would have probably filled a role as attacking midfielder. Even Samaras having to retire effectively from NT at 30 created a void. Reading an interview in the guardian, its clear why Holebas doesnt play for this team anymore.

Finland deserved that. Tsiolis lets him walk right in. What a waste of a player on the pitch.

I am concerned Skibbe isnt going to get fired. Nothing about how he set up to play this game suggests urgency or playing to win the game.

I am pretty sure losing this game puts us into pot 4 for the Euro 2020 qualifiers. This is going to set us back another 10 years.

Fetfa must have really pissed off skibbe to not get a game.

I think this is a must win if we want to control our own destiny. FInland has a +3 GD and I dont see us beating anyone by more than one goal at the moment. FOr once it would be great for this team to control their own destiny and not need a result on the last day. On paper, Greece has a team that should not even remotely be struggling against Finland or Hungary. Although we really have nothing in midfield, at least playing someone with pace on the wings (no Tsavellas) gives Finland something to think about.

Not a fan of hoofball but at this point, put three guys in box and just kick it to them and wait for Hungary to make a mistake. This team is incapable of playing possession up the middle.

My recommendation for manager would be Mick Mccarthy but I doubt he would take the job.

Torosidis has had a great NT career but he can no longer play wingback at the international level.

This has to be one of the weakest attack I have ever seen. Has Mitro even touched the ball in the 2nd half?
