the only problem is that he only trains with arsenal's first team. he is playing with their u-23 side.
@georglaz he was supposed to be leaving aek on january but it didn't happen so he will stay non active until the end of the season. what a waste.

latest reports say that aside of karnezis, the other guys that will be called up for the nt friendlies will be 2 of paschalakis, tsintotas and gianniotis. can't believe how he's still ignoring vlachodimos, as well as those 2 kapino and anestis basically ruined their seasons after a good start.

they signed a romanian goalkeeper, former watford and man city player. was in la coruna lately.
and yes he had better options from epl and serie a but he hesitated beccause of the salary as well as the fact that it would be difficult for him to be the no.1 option.

well mpakakis is like 27 so no you can't say he's a replacement. that guy can be koutris who is 22.

ninis was not even a regular in low table belgium sides previously. now he has been kicked out of his team's squad in israel, again in a below average team. but ofc as a country that aims to qualify for wcs and euros we should call up players like him and gianniotas who are not even difference makes in far worse leagues than the greek one.

midfield of = fortounis, tachtsi, zeca, fortounis, mantalos, samaris is good if they're all in form.
our main problem is form. an in form Samaris is very good. We saw what he did to Ivory Coast and also was MOM for Benfica deep in champions league.
pelkas has been superb for paok as well, already drawing interest from several european sides like stuttgart, besiktas and club brugge. paok would never sell him during the season but i could see such a transfer happening on summer. he has a 7m release clause.
with him and galanopoulos who's developing at aek we can add some depth to the squad once and for all. coz we already have a core of fortounis, mantalos, samaris, tachtsidis, zeca and kourmpelis.

not really because none of them are pure attacking midfielders. so it's one of those 2 (imo kourmpelis should be given a chance even if zeca performed quite good lately, he's heading to 31 and kourmpelis will be around for the next 8-10 years. the other one should be either samaris or tachtsidis where i prefer samaris because he can do better than tachtsidis at this level. galanopoulos or charisis for the 5th midfielder.

you do realise he's a winger and not a striker, plus he got injured right when he was gaining from for stuttgart? or you would like to watch him riding the bench so we can play stafylidis, mantalos and zeca who are not even wingers, on the wing, or that bust gianniotas who is not even a difference maker in spain's b division and shouldn't even be in the squad

skibbe is a complete idiot and doesn't realize these game will affect our ranking and since both of them are world cup teams, we have a great chance to test our team against them. im not saying not making a restart and call up players like mpakakis, siovas, vlachodimos, charisis, petsos even fetfatzidis for fcking sake, but we won't go out there with our b team like it's an exhibition game. team needs to find cohesion.

nt arranged one more friendly, against iran on june. they're in the world cup as well, along with switzerland and egypt. possibly we might play one more friendly in that time.
