There are no Thessaloniki media that support PAOK except maybe Forza or Radio Primo. Metropolis and Libero support PAOK on paper just to survive, but behind the scenes there is all kinds of backstabbing. I would not be surprised if they are indeed financed by Marinakis as is rumored.

I thought sdna pretty much supports paok?

Rumors as to loans for fellas owned by both WBA and SLB, both midfielders. So if either are true, then someone in our midfield would need to go. Which would probably mean Esiti.

Does he? We need more midfielders. Esiti is a tank, no one like him anywhere.

If anyone needs to go is Biseswar.

  3. No point in a new centre forward when your team cant set up goal scoring opportunities for them. Even if we had Lewandowski he would be forced to play as midfielder here because our team doesn't create useable chances.

A defensive midfielder is not what we need. We need a better creative attacking midfielder to drive the attack forward and create useable goal scoring opportunities.

Rumour has it that we are looking at atleast 4 additions: A back, an extreme, a centre midfielder (a "10") and a attacker.

  4. @Tzatziki It is a trash site but they did ask some good questions in that rare case.

Karypidis goes against Olympiakos'es agenda that Paok was behind the bribery, according to Open he stated that Paok has nothing to do with this. Smells like potential drama behind the scenes.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was orchestrated by Olympiakos or if it was an attempt at bribery by betting companies.

  5. Down the rabbit hole we go, just something interesting from sportdog.

    What a sham

  6. Well that Aris goalkeeper might have gotten himself in a big mess, 2 years potential prohibition for being late with the statement, not to mention when the allegations will be proven false then there's going to one hell of a fall out.

Its a shame that Olympiacos dragged Aris in its personal War against Paok. Its Aris thats gonna be be punished, I wouldn't be surprised if Olympiacos got scot free even if the allegation where proven false.

Its all fun and game having support from Olympiacos, but the moment Aris will threaten Olympiacos for the title, you'll see the war machine going full steam against Aris too.

One of the Olympaikos fat guys (Karapapas) came out yesterday after the Aris - PAOK game claiming that a certain person connected with PAOK tried to bribe the Aris keeper Siabanis and two other players with boatload of cash. Later on some TV show on the channel that is owned by the fat owner of Olympiakos, Aris player Delizisis announced that most of the allegations are are true.

The most interesting part of this farce is that the allegations were made by Olympiakos on behalf of Aris.

PAOK of course came out and said that once everything is settled in courts those who started this will be sued for damages.

Seeing that the Xanthi case is coming to an end, Olympiakos is now trying to create another distraction.

All more reasons to break the FFP to ensure that Olympiakos never wins the title again, pieces of s%$#! that destroy Greek football.

Also imagine if there was a penalty charge for false allegations.  Even a risk of relegation, would make Olymapiakos think twice of doing this.

  8. Its time to break FFP, it doesn't work. FFP has been designed to stop teams from enquiring losses, however if an owner wants to through away his own money he can't, as that according to the FFP is one way road to bankruptcy. How so may I ask? The owner pumps his own money in the team, his own finances, covers the players wage, it doesn't put any pressure on the teams economy.

If we get kicked out, of UEFA we will be banned for 2 years, we could take it case and potentially overturn the ruling as FFP is unfair, there is already precedence with Manchester united.

Buy young talented players, and if we can't save our safe from the ban then we will have these players after the ban ends.

  9. How the hell does PAOK play Tiki Taka sometimes to score goals yet  they fail to score on counter attacks that should be 100 percent goals? The F***up what Paok does in those situations are school level. Two defenders manage to block an attack of 5 players? Why? Because someone decides to pass to a player through them rather then, to the empty one.

These situations are what cost us the Europa league, alongside with the drunk defence. Our attackers don't get enough balls either. Colak is he really an attacker? Perhaps he should be experimented and put into another position.

Pelkas has served the club well.  I'm happy for him to go if that's what he really wants - good luck to him.  Obviously would have preferred he stays but he is, with no offense intended, replaceable.  Still, always hurts when one of your own leaves.

We sold him for freaking 1.6 million. 1.6 million in 2020. We have newpapers being excited about selling a player for 1.6 mill. Its ridiculous. We want to be a big team yet we sell players for nothing. We spent more on players that end up being  worse then Pelkas.

We sold him before having a guaranteed proven replacement. Just how we sold Akpom before having a replacement. That arguably costed us Champions league.

If Pelkas wanted to leave then we should had let him go after Europa league, he would have been on display there and we could have asked for more, however that wouldn't have happened because we just want to sell players for crap, we think like a small team, and as long as we think like that Paok will be small.

Selling players expensively is the only way we can get increase our budget with this Financial Fair play crap, unless by some stroke of luck some sponsor that is completely unrelated to Savidis decides to poor millions in Paok.

Wow, so a CL Q3 team could lose two games, get booted to EL PO, lose both those games, and still make it to the ECL group stage. Hilarious. Talk about failing into success.

If your a big team no matter what you get International money, just when you thought that UEFA did something just for the smaller teams to help them out.

Colak deal is done. Four year contract, and around 450K in salary. We paid 3 mil to Rijeka. They get to keep 15% in resale.

Wague loan is probably almost as good as done since he too travelled to Thessaloniki. Apparently we are still negotiating the buyout option. Originally there wasn't going to be one.

As for Matos, he is one of my favorite players on the team and I am disappointed that he is leaving. It's quite simple. Farreira convinced the front office to get rid of those players. Even if they stayed he has no intentions of playing them.

He won't be here for Wednesday. We should have not let go of Akpom before the game. This is just mind boggling.

  13. I believe its at the wrong time too... Akpom was good because atleast he didn't keep falling over, but if we cant replace him will be stuck with Swideriski (who has lots of room to improve) but keeps falling over because hes so weak.
We have a very short time to find someone who is physically strong, knows some basic dribbling and has a great areal presence.
