II also wouldn't be upset at all if a group like FuboTV or DAZN decided to enter the market (like they did with Football League a few years ago) and snatch up PAOK and half the league as part of a digital TV package, so long as we got fair compensation in exchange. It would be nice to siphon some clubs from NOVA.

Facebook also would easily pay more then NOVA. Their into buying sport rights lately.

He wasn't seriously hurt? WHAT A SHOCK!!! So are we gonna get a few points back? Maybe replay the last half of the season?

BTW that stupid "kid" should still be banned for life from PAOK matches.

Or sue Olympiakos or the coach for damages related to his faking. The potential loss of revenue due to an easier champions League qualifying path. ?

Just a stupid bluff, anyone with a mind can see that if Olympiakos does that, it would have to give up on the European Money. I'm pretty sure that Marinakis too would prefer getting some extra money in his pocket rather then being butt-hurt about not getting 1st place in the league.

  4. I feel like we might be getting Bouzoukis from Panathinaikos. Savadis likes him, Vieirinha is probably insisting.

Don't think Jaba is going anywhere, not with his injury, hell be ready to play again mid February, and he'll probably wont be match fit for a while. So teams might not be interested in buying him.

  5. Ok so atleast we won't be getting an a schedule of Olympiakos, Aek, etc with a match every three days. So more time to rest for the players and to recover. Playoffs done right.

It's gonna be a great watch, and probably the hardest championship yet (and a money maker for Paok TV).

To build a 40K or 45K stadium would probably double the cost or something. Based on Melisanidis kavouria, he wouldn't do something like that.

I think problem is with the landplot, I've looked at the plans, theres no real room to go beyond the plot.

That stadiums top tier hovers above half the lower tier. They pretty much squized out every seat possible.

If they wanted bigger they would had have to move.

Why are you assuming that the number (and the actual plan) hasn't been determined/finalized for quite some time? As for the future - not a big deal if it does change.

Because the stadium hasn't even got any permissions set (not even the spacial plan is done yet) . And even if its finalised, stuff happens during construction itself that might take away that seat or two (or we might end up with a few extra seats, it can go either way).

Also different events require different configurations too, so that stadium will definitely not be a stable 41,926.

After claiming the stadium would be over 40k in a post yesterday, he posted (about five minutes ago) an Instagram story with only: 41.926

    Hmmm...

Because that has like a 1 percent chance of actually happening in practice. You change the design slightly and the symbolic number of 1926, goes away. You add more media/VIP places, that number goes away, you replace the seats with a different design in the future and that number goes away. Any  single change, and the  number might change.

  9. We have a horrible defence....

Maybe when our injured players come back it will be a bit better however it's something we need to work on.

Goal was correctly disallowed by VAR, however the ERT commentator didn't need to be such a dick about it.

It's good that we didn't sit back, depressed and still pressured on for the 3rd goal. However we shouldn't have sat back before anyway, after the 2 goal lead, best defense is attack, especially with this Paok.

  10. Well...

You never know if one outlandish rumor could actually be true: Is Paok looking to sack Abel Ferreira?

    Quote

The management of the Greek PAOK is dissatisfied with the results of the team this season.

The champion of Greece stopped the European Cup fight, which hit the ambitions of club president Ivan Savvidi hard. He decided to rotate on the coaching bridge, and replace the Portuguese Abel Ferreira. The eyes of the leadership of the Greek club fell on the ex-coach of the national team of Ukraine and Kiev Dynamo Oleg Blokhin.

Glavred talked with a source close to the environment of the Ukrainian coach.

“Indeed, Oleg Vladimirovich received an offer from PAOK. Oleg Blokhin has all the qualities that will help bring the team to a new level. At the moment, there is a negotiation process, and how it will end is difficult to say. The only thing that is clear is that PAOK needs this coach. More detailed details of the deal are not yet known, "a source told Glavred .

Recall that Oleg Blokhin coached Dynamo Kiev from September 25, 2012 to April 16, 2014. During his coaching at the club, Dynamo for the first time could not even take second place in the Ukrainian championship, taking third place in the 2012/13 season. For a year and a half, Oleg Blokhin could not win a single trophy. Also, Blokhin set an anti-record for the number of defeats in the championship, coaching Dynamo - 12 defeats in 44 matches.

  11. Seems like AEK is not to pleased about Mariniakis acquiring NOVA,  and all signs point to them opening their own online AEK TV, quite a few other teams are considering this as well. In case of VOLO its not surprising, I mean their contract is ridiculous and a few matches against some big teams would bring them more money.

It would be something, to watch Marinakis aquire nova with its 300 mill in debt only  to realise that no team wants to be under him, just a worthless platform. Sure Marinakis will scream foal.

If this becomes widespread accross Europe (Aka teams having their own private online streaming services) then it may very well upset the current oligarchy. Imagine small teams in Europe with a large fan base (due to them simply being in a bigger country) receiving reasonable funding. Wouldn't be surprised if uefa will come up with some sort of unfair FFP rule to stop this.
