Toivonen's name is still active, even though I've read he signed elsewhere a couple days ago...but we all know how that goes.
We do need a striker though. One with a different style than Klaus.

Stoch signed with Bourdelaspor. Haven't really heard any other names for us besides Toivonen for a striker. Right now, I'd take a class, experienced defender over a striker though.

My koumbaro told me there's a gyro place opening right next to the Greek fish market in the square. I know who the guy is that's supposedly opening.... I'll keep you guys posted. Where in Boston are you at?
I haven't gone to gyro city yet...I just hate cutting through Boston, and whenever I do, going through the Fenway is always a pain in the ass.

You guys have any gyro places in Boston that serves pork gyro? We have none in Chicago. Had to make a stop in NYC to get one on my recent trip to Rhode Island.
Yeah... The Feisty Greek in Norwood, MA does all pork. I think Gyro City in Boston, and Zo's in Boston also do pork.

That sucks... hopefully he doesn't come then. We've had our fill of cancerous cokcsuckers in our locker rooms. I'd like to think that guys like Arnesen and Tudor recognize these issues and either address them before signing him, or tell him to go screw.

On topic, we definitely need a striker. I think Koulouri needs to be loaned out ASAP. Salpi isn't going to play.

Yeah, but the "rumors" of his late nights drinking etc, were more than just rumors...and confirmed on more than a few instances. That s%$#! doesn't fly with Mr. Tudor, and Stoch telling Stevens to "F*** off" shows he has no respect for his coach. Either way, I'd rather see him go elsewhere.

Stoch + Tudor = No Good. Stoch showed us glimpses of brilliance, but also the dark side of a player with his kind of "character".
I don't know much about Toivonen, but he seems like a quality striker that would be a welcome addition to the squad. Klaus is great at the one-touch goal, and getting in good position for a cross, but we need a hitman that can make a couple moves with the ball.
Mak played well today, but I hate that he always tries to get past the goalkeeper to score. Anytime he goes head to head with a keeper who stays in net, he shoots the thing 2 miles off target.

Tudor stated that 4 of the new players only had 2 practice sessions with the team, which makes sense.
Like most others, I didn't get to see the match. I honestly can't listen to a whole game on the radio, I get distracted by all the other things I do, BUT from what I did hear, we didn't perform very well, a lot of the players seemed out of synch with each other, Sabo seemed to have a hard time getting anything going, Cimirot got a potentially bad injury (we should hear more today), and our defense held a clean sheet which is huge considering all the concerns on defense.
Let's get our ticket to the Group stages on Thursday, and then we need to get 3 points on Sunday vs. PAS because then we have a rough stretch of:
Veria (away)
AEK (home)
Atromitos (away)
Oly (home)
Iraklis (away)
PAO (home)
Asteras (home)
We need to get all the new guys on board and firing on all cylinders FAST because we're getting tossed in the deep end of the pool early, with no relief until November.
