  1. They WILL NOT start negotiating Kace's extension until September 1st. His contract with his current management agency expires August 31st (ACE Mgmt)

We refuse to deal with them (or let them earn a commission) because they have been acting as Olympiakos proxies for the last couple of years ... After we had verbally agreed with Fortounis a couple of years ago, once we faxed over the contract, the agent went straight to Olympiakos and used it to get more money. Fortounis was never going to come here -- we were completely used to get better wages for his client.

They represent Tzandaris and basically brains washed him into thinking his value was far greater and steered him to OSFP -- now he is relegated to permanent loanee-status for OSFP satellite clubs. ACE represents a TON of current and former OSFP players (Manolas, Maniatis, Bouchalakis, Fetfa, Kyriakos, etc)

I applaud the PAE's (Ivan's) stance in this circumstance.

    That's interesting.  I didn't know that.

  2. The good thing is we've got 3 weeks until the 1st European match.  It gives time for the new guys to get some more practice with their new teammates and some games under their belt.  Also, We've got over a month until the match vs. Dortmund in Toumba...we'll need to be in top form to get a result against them.  Maybe someone can hold Papastathopoulos' mother hostage, so he can score an own goal to help us out, lol.

  3. This is the perfect draw.  We have a BIG team.  So that if we lose, it's expected, but if we win....it's gonna be a PARTY! The other 2 are the worst of each pot.  We should get enough points out of them to go through in 2nd place.

  4. surely though it's less risky to get the players in and then work at reducing costa's wage.

it's like telling your wife it's over then asking your girlfriend to move in and she tells you to F*** off.

So you're saying I should move my girlfriend into my house and THEN tell my wife to F*** off?  I'm not sure I can pull that one off..lol

  5. The Pereyra situation is almost over. It's a shame, I really liked him as a player.  There's talks about PAO wanting him, I wouldn't let him go to any Greek league team because if he does very well there, you risk looking like an idiot.  At least if you goes out of the country, few will actually keep track of how he does.

  6. I'm curious, so where in Greece is everyone from?

    I'll start,

Dad was from a little xorio about 30 minutes outside Drama but in Nomos Serres called Nea Bafra and mum is from a town called Polikarpi in Nomos Pell past edessa towards the hot springs at Loutra

My mother is from Drama (a xorio 20 minutes out) and my father was born in Chalkidiki, raised in Thessaloniki.

  7. The biggest influx of Greeks in America was in the late 60's - Early 80's I believe.  Most Greeks my age (35-40) here are the first generation of Greeks born in America, with the younger kids (2-10 years old) are the mostly the 2nd generation and the ones who are more likey to be mixed or not speak Greek, etc.

There was also a bunch from the 1940's, but most of their kids and grandkids have been more americanized.

  8. No the Kafenio is where all the old grumpy Greeks hang out and play Birimba, Bida, Thanasi and complain about their shitty kids and wives.  That's upstairs from the proposed gyradiko...hahah
