Boys Samaris looks like he’s starting to solidly his spot as a starter good for him.. For me and some of you might disagree but Zeca to me has so much heart and he hustles like crazy and you can see this guy plays his ass off for the NT...
zeca is so good. he has the most spirit out of anyone there and he's not even greek LOL

At the time I didn't want him coming in when I saw the change.. I was wrong on that call.
same but tzavellas also saved our butts in the other bosnia game but didn't mean he should be starting
I think if Manolas Koulouris (Donis/Masouras on the wings) started we would have won the game.

looks good for us now. that was an away game. they lost pjanic for next match and we'll be much better vs. bosnia at home.
I'm optimistic we'll qualify now. this was the make or break game imo.

I was gunna go to a greek bar to watch it after first 20 minutes i was glad I didn't by end of the game I wish I did. Just watched at home.
we really have a bad habit of being brain dead first third of matches and then wake up.
sokratis was pretty bad. siovas was actually much better and good building play at the back.
koutris was really good second half.
fortounis was tricky for their defense but also made some plays that lost us the ball.
donis can't be solo striker, should've started koulouris there and we would've for sure gotten another goal (instead of bouchalakis who was useless)
masouras was good and breathe of fresh air as well.
I still don't rate kolovos and think that was a lucky header but thanks for scoring.
zeca was amazing as usually and saved us from going down 3-0
great game. bosnia and greece have quite a rivalry. I'm glad both sides kept it relatively classy, helping each other up etc. sokratis classy for the injury kicking the ball away from play (but sokratis looked like he lacked spirit to me unno)

it's possible we can win the midfield since we loaded it with zeca samaris kourbelis bouchalakis
super weird line up though. only positive is he dropped bakasetas but i'm face palming so hard at donis solo striker.
one thing that's positive is it will be hard for bosnia to score
kinda dense to leave out masouras who was your starter when he assisted donis who's now your soul striker. How do coaches get their jobs lol

What's the problem with u and fckin lazaros he sucks.
Mitroglou is gonna be a big miss. Biggest ones in my opinion will be Retsos at a 3 CB scheme and Manolas.I think we can scrap a 0-0 there.
Lazaros was really good last season at AEK and the next with Oly until he got injured. He can take on defender and shoot. For depth purposes Donis, Masouras, Fetfa, and Lazaros I think would be our top 4 and rotate based on form.
Laz has great long FK's, can take on defenders, and can shoot on target. He's way better then Pelkas or Bakasetas wide. (Which is what we've done past 10 games or so). so yes Lazaros being out is a loss.

Crucial game. Important to get an away result.
Last time these teams played to a 0-0 draw on June 9, 2017.
looking back at that 0-0. brutal. we had 0 shots on target. they had 6.
we also had a stronger backline in stafylidis sokratis manolas and torosidis.
we're hurting with injuries there's no room for error here and not starting koulouris and startin bakasetas on the wing again is what I fear.
I really hope we see this
koulouris
donis fortounis masouras
zeca samaris/kourbelis
koutris siovas sokratis bakakis
vlacho
if stafylidis (lb) retsos (rb) lazaros (rw) mitroglou (st) kpaps (cb) manolas (cb) were available I'd start them in place of what we got
also won't happen but fetfa (rw/lw) and holebas (lb) but yeah i'll keep that to fifa lol

I agree but it seems like he’s going to stick with Donis as the striker.. Also Mitro is out 100% so he is not an option.. I will be speechless if bakasetas starts in this game.
Donis isn't clinical as a single striker we'll lose or draw for sure if he does that
-
if we don't do this in attacking third we'll lose.
koulouris/mitro
donis fortounis masouras

^ Yes I'm fully aware of the draw but both our games were very competitive against them.
this Bosnia game imo is make or break. It's tough because it's away game. I find out NT has a poor psychology but if we build momentum belief sets in.
the poor start vs. romania euro 2016 was very pivotal. I think our qualifying chances very much rest on this Bosnia game. if we get a draw or win then we have a very good chance to qualify. If we don't win I think it's a very serious uphill climb (even though it shouldn't be)
actually, if you ask me from the traditional top 8 NT giants who we'd have the best chance of beating I'd put Italy up there. (eg) Germany, France, England, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Italy)
Italy are traditionally a slowish defensive style and they rely on set pieces (they're very similar to us). They have more skill whereas we have more strength to muscle them off set pieces easily.

Greece has got to be one of the most wild car national teams out there. Probably why so many of us stick around after shocking campaigns. We can beat a world class Belgium and lose to Faroe Islands in the span of 1-2 years.
Very curious which Greece shows up this campaign. I have low expectations and usually Greece steps up when expectations are low. It's a paradox.

What does club team have to do with it? I would hardly call Stuttgart a big club.
bigger and better then pao or leganes at the moment. they've also won the bundesliga 5 times and is worth 140 million compared to olympiakos which is worth 60 million according to transfermarkt

Well In that case, you can’t really judge anyone else either right? I mean then you may as well not stop and say Donis scored. But it was only Liechtenstein. Which I’m sure 99 percent of the goalies in the world would’ve stopped. Vlachodimos can’t be judged either. He did nothing. You can say the same thing about every player. Can’t you?
sokratis donis and vlacho are in form and play at bigger clubs then siovas and kourbelis.

I think siovas and Kourbelis should start next game also. They didn’t do anything to lose their place. The team won. Take out Bakasetas and start Donis. Keep the rest the same. They did well.
I dunno it's cuz it was just liechenstein they didn't really have much threats. bosnia is a different animal. sokratis has shown he's capable of man marking dzeko out of a game. if he's 100% we gotta start sokratis

Has this squad been rumoured? Or is this what you want to see?
Also does anyone believe if Manolas or Sokratis would’ve done the same pass that Kourbelis assisted to Fortounis? I don’t think so.
Kourbelis and Siovas both deserve to start next game they were very under control at the back.
siovas and kourbelis (who's a cdm/cb) are both good ball playing cb's but sokratis and manolas are better defensively. sokratis and manolas usually just do conservative passes to the wings.
-
yeah mitroglou is still our best striker he's not the problem. we need to drop bakasetas and put donis/masouaras on wings fortounis cam and should be okay zeca samaris midfield and bakakis (toro is better but injured cuz he's a good crosser) and staf if he comes back in form after injury

Ireland barely got a win vs Gibraltar. Scotland got torched at Kazakstan 3-0.
gilbratar yeah just as bad but kazakstan is 18 million population so a bit different.
-
Liechtenstein is one of the worst minnows so I wouldn't get carried away. Even Donis's goal I think most quality goalies would save that. their population is 40 000.
-
for bosnia i'd like to see something like this
kolouris/mitroglou
donis fortounis masouras
zeca/kourb samaris
koutris siovas sokratis bakakis
vlacho
so weird that he started bakasetas over donis. baka must be really good in training or has a really good agent
koulouris is in form of his life 22 goals in 29 games this season. similar to how mitroglou was in 2013 before the injury

These line-ups are what's rumoured
Option 1
3 5 2
(Paschalakis) Vlachodimos
Siovas-Kourbelis-Risvanis
Bakakis-Samaris-Zeca-Koutris
Fortounis
Mitroglou-Koulouris
Option 2
4 2 3 1
(Paschalakis) Vlachodimos
Bakakis-Siovas-Risvanis-Koutris
Samaris-Zeca
Masouras-Fortounis-Donis
Mitroglou
I like 2 the most that's what I'd do given the players available.

One rumour is that Anastasiadis may play a 3 5 2 with Kourbelis as the CB and Siovas-Risvanis either side and 2 forwards Mitroglou-Koulouris.
Midfielders will be LW Bakakis and RW Koutris and CM Zeca-Samaris and Fortounis the AM.
If this is the case, it will be something new.
like the idea generally. would like Donis though to be in there too though so not sure.

Yeah hopefully that Faroe scar burns deep to realize that the qualifiers are often not one in the derbys, but rather winning the games you're supposed to win on paper. I recall losing to Albania in another qualifier and I think it cost us as well. Bosnia did the same dropping points to Cyprus.
-
vlachos gotta be our number 1. best greek keeper rn
hopefully masouras RW. I wish we could just play Chatz/Fetfa as backup.
I actually like Bakasetas as a CAM but never wing. Baka has good technique in a central position. Good through balls and nice power shot but he's like 4th on the list there. Fortounis, Mantalos, Pelkas, Bakasetas CAM in that order.

I read the Sokratis interview. Regardless of how good they are or not he was wrong. Very wrong to say that they don’t have the good players needed to be strong. If I were on the team and had to play with this guy, I’d lose all respect for him.
watch the actual interview you miss a lot of the tone. I wouldn't put what he said that way.

can't wait for retsos and torosidis return from injury. Bakakis was pretty bad this game. (He's decent though overall the hate is a bit unwarranted. He's pretty engine and was key in the AEK double)
Koulouris needs to get the respect he deserves and be our striker when mitroglou isnt performing
Donis needs to play as a winger. His headers are so weak and he's not tall enough to be an aerial threat anyways, it's his pace that makes him great, which is utilized on the wingz.
