I think you a partially correct when we lose to the Faroe islands and the luxembourgs, but of course if the person in charge dose not select our best players and instead treats the national team like an experiment than he too is also responsible.

Reality is that both of our past coaches Santos and rehagel would have both played for the draw in Turkey. Greek soccer is all about clean sheets and winning 1-0. Nothing wrong with todays result , but changes still have to be made so we can score.

Hey guys lets all go to Mykonos... we cant depend on mitroglou to score , but he can score Ninis --fetzfazidis --if healthy should be on the field . And if samaras has a club he should be there too. These players are better than most in Greece. I'm tired of saying it but , we need to field our best players. Why could ninis , not start this game ....

I remember one time when we were playing Malta on the road and Santos told a reporter that he wanted to "win by half a goal , but just win." The same applies going forward ,but do not be fooled by the 4 goals against Hungary. This was a very rare thing , as we have not scored 4 GOALS in a match since 2007 against bosnia and also when we scored 5 against Latvia. What we need to do is hustle and not give ANYBODY space and room to move around on our side of the field who has not earned it. No more giving up space and leaking cheap goals.

I hope our new coach understands that right now we need a coach who will bring professionalism back to our national football team. It would be great if he lived in Greece year round like Santos did, to be totally immersed in Greek football. I am curious as to how much his bonus $$$$$ is if we qualify for the world cup.

Even playing in Saudi he is still better offensively than many players in Greece. As long as he has a (good level of fitness) , he can help the national. Our attacking options are limited.

personally I don't see many players that are better than Ninis and fefta who can produce offense. I would also say Samaras even without a team is better than most players in Greece also. Until we start our best players every game , and forget about the experimentation and politics we will not win.

I remember topalidis giving interview and and getting asked why rehaggel had put in some players that did not have teams. He said well the reason is because those were the best we have available and they have definetly not forgotten how to play soccer. Reality is that even if Fetzfazidis does not play for a big club he is still a better player than most of our players in Greece . Instead its like maybe we should try out this player, or that player out there. Just put the best players we have on the field and win or lose the game with them. we don't start our most creative player....

i think sombody like bob bradley from usa would be good for the greek national team for one reason. explaining to all involved that you actually have to run and challenge for 90 minutes to have a chance to win , even if you are playing Faroe. Having coached in egypt , he understands coaching in a chaotic environment. Any opinions on this name ....

Because playing football is a job , you go were the highest salary is going to be. Throw in injuries and this creates uncertainty about how many years you have left as player. At 24 the development phase is over. I hope he can still help our national team , because we don't have many with his creativity.

people have good points on both sides of the argument. I just cannott believe at this moment that we cannott send money to greece as a result of the mismanagement of our country. (in canada most banks now have an advisory for this) That things have gotten to this point is truly absurd. We all need to pray things turn around.

Here is the thing i dont get....its not like when we played romania and finland that they dominated us... Both of them are better than the faroes How is it that we could lose to the faroes twice...
