This whole fuss about Tziolis gets me laughing. Ok we get it, he is slow , 2 years ago u were the same guy whining about Katsouranis. Still , Tziolis didn't play half the qualifying games, im not sure but maybe he played less than half of them. And what did we get ? a fcking kick from the Euros before half the matches had been played. Football is a match 11 vs 11, excluding the Goalkeepers gets us 10 vs 10 , if u think 1 man can make so much of a difference , especially in a defensive slow paced team like the Greek NT you are probably unable to understand. Most of you say its the Offence's fault , being unable to score , others say the defence , seeing the forwards' lack of form , expanded themselves up front and thus making us lose many games (which actually happened) so its the defenders' fault. But whenever we have to hear names, who to blame it's just Ranieri (EPL leader right now) and Tziolis. I don't give a f*ck about the player , i don't worship him or anything as many could assume from this post. But seriously , someone mentioned him as the Katsouranis successor and I would like to point that. We went to the Euro 2012 with both Katsouranis and Tziolis , we qualified for the World cup 14 with both Katsouranis and Tziolis, we crushed Romania 3-1 with Tziolis and Katsouranis on the line up. We drew with Romania away with Tziolis on the line up. My point is , Greece has always been a slow paced team , Our kinda fast 10ths in the likes of Pelkas and Mantalos , along with the smart brain and fast reactions of Fortounis could be a change , but it could need some time , some time we don't have coz if we fail to qualify for hte next WC (something that probably will happen) we ll fall deeper to the rankings. So my point is , how exactly is Tziolis' fault that we are undergoing a change of an era ? How is it a single player's fault. Some extra info i found : Tziolis didn't start nor did he play vs Faroe Islands on both legs, and we still lost. Lastly , YES I am Greek , my good for nothing school books have taught me wrongly that Turks are there for me to hate, so when my team finishes Last in a EURO Qual. Campaign , while theirs finishes as best 3rd (by beating Netherlands, Icelands and Czech Republics) I will enjoy a DRAW against them especially when my team is running their worst period since like 2002. Even if we didn't qualify for WC 2006 , we didn't end up so miserably.

It happened , we played 3-6-1 or 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 or whatever u wanna call it. But wanna know the bad thing ? Kyriakos in a period of 4 months , is unjured the 3 out of 4 , and it takes him 2 weeks to find form , before he gets injured again 2 weeks later. It's not nice changing a team's plan every month , based on how healthy Kyriakos is. Because when he is injured (and i will not be bored saying that that's a fcking lot) you either have 2 options: Either change the plan ,so the team literally never gets used to a plan and is not familiar with it , resulting in no cooperation and no proper communication , or put in siovas. Now , as an Olympiakos I like siovas. He can make some good balls to help offensively and is a bit smart, but when there are no wingerbacks his main goal is going to be stopping the enemy fast wingers. If im not wrong he plays as a LCB, at least thats where we saw him. Now Imagine him marking Mirallas. I can see a lot of stuff happening. As for the weather we have wingerbacks or nah. Torosidis and Cholevas never were clearly defenders. Torosidis when at Olympiakos , and at his prime , was a player who could cover the whole Right side , and still some of his crosses end up being good. The fact that we dont score from them , or that they never reach someone , isn't solely his fault. However, he is come of an age that he can't run , and having someone unable to defend properly OR attack properly (aka being average when asked to to do both) is gonna be bad. Id recommend using him as a Fullback , and putting one of our 10s more wide in the Right area. On hte other side, Cholebas still has some time to give good signs for the Ethniki , so id recommend putting him as a winger back. A possible 5-3-2 with my fullback details could be : Karnezis Torosidis - Manolas - Sokratis - Kyriakos Cholevas Taxtsidis Samaris Pelkas Fortounis Anyone who has feet

5 defenders should mean that the midfield should be from back to front : Tachtsidis , Samaris Fortounis , Pelkas . 5 -4 -1 I liked the fact that we played mostly with passes nad not with crosses from our Left-Right backs. This coach is showing good signs. But The turks did 5 changes , why did we do 3 and one in the last minutes. Why not pelkas instead of siovas or Tzavellas. Overall I think the coach understands we suck aggressively and he focuses on defence, technically speaking , having taken some draws from the Finlanders- Faroe Islands - Romanians , could have us in Euros right now. Kudos to him for not using Klaus and using Giannou. He is fast, and since we have no real killer atm at least put someone who can move and play with the others. I liked the fact that he used players like tziolis,Siovas , Kapino vs Luxembourg , i was hoping he d never use them again as starters (kapino i dont care much really) . But Tziolis seems to have a visma or what.

The whole Striker problem doesn't need to be referred to. We ve never had a decent striker. so i won't mind whoever it is. the rest 10 are cool. maybe a more offencive RB like Kitsiou works too.

I actually like our defence. This X1 and Petsos instead of Tziolis couldactually work, if our players didnt sh!t themselves in a full of turks stadium and a friendly for them ref.

Why Vellios and not Giannou ? I mean Mitroglou is the core and Athanasiadis could take a few more chances before dissapointing or showing spirit but for a 3rd choice why Vellios ? This guy has been a total failure , was on everton so many years and only asked for a loan at his 3rd or 4th year there i dont even remember. After that he came back to the Greek League. This guy is done with footballing success.
