  1. No, it's not the same court room or judges. The appeal is heard by the EPO court and judges. The original trial was by the Superleague Disciplinary Committee. I believe there is an additional appeal that can be filed, and I am pretty sure PAOK or Olympiakos will take it to that point depending on the outcome of the current appeal.
  2. What's the point? Are you kidding me? Did you see the television broadcast of the game? Apparently not. Toumba was a church on that day. And what was the result? Pretty much the loss of a title. Security at Toumba has improved greatly from previous years, thanks to the use of private security, since Greek police is useless. Sure things are not perfect, but compared to the past the difference is day and night. As for your claim that AEK fans are angels, there were fan trouble at couple AEK games this season, but nothing happened to the team because the ref failed to include that in the match report. Also, I am not sure those angels would react the same way if there was a similar injustice carried against their team.
  3. Well Klaus it's exactly this type of mentality and the selective enforcement of the rules that has driven the Greek football and the country in general to this sad state.
  4. I too think our lawyers did not do very good job. They were caught off guard with the introduction of the changed match report by Aretopoulos, which happened when the court proceeding started and they did not have enough time to respond. They asked for a trial postponement but the judge denied it. The appeal is taking place tomorrow, but I don't think there will be a verdict right away. I think it will take days before they announce it. Don't forget on the same day the Olympiakos appeal (which was twice postponed) takes place concerning their -3 point deduction case.
  5. First of all he was not hit in the head or face. Paper stream hit his back as shown on video. How can a doctor diagnose an injury. Well denying the match doctor for 15 minutes to see the "injured" surely prevents him from properly diagnosing his injuries. And since he was eventually seen wearing a neck brace and claiming serious injuries, it sure was major negligence by Olympiakos officials to deny him prompt and professional medical help.
  6. You still failed to realize that Garcia was not a coach of a team according to match paperwork and he should have not been on the field at all. Therefore there was never an injury (fake or otherwise) to an official of the game whitch calls for point deductions, etc. That claim should have been thrown out of the court, but Aretopoulos managed to prevent that with a manipulated match report. And yes our fans (and every team's fans) have done damage to their clubs and the game itself, but Toumba on that day was a church!
  7. Kominis, a ref with questionable past has been assigned to call the game.
  8. Picking for straws? Just using the legal avenues that are available to us. Just like PAO did in the Ivic case. If there is fair justice in Greece (very doubtful), the right verdict will handed out. The problem is that issues like that are usually tried in biased media instead of the courts. And as Klaus points out the two cases are not identical. There are many differences between them. And let's not forget that Garcia was not even supposed to be on the field according to match report.
  9. Melissanidis might have control of the fans for the most part, but even then there were problems at OAKA during a recent game without AEK getting punished. Additionally he has the control of the referees. It's quite interesting to note that most of the referees that call AEK games are from the "enosis" that he controls at EPO.
  10. Nobody is saying for PAOK not to get punished for the thrown object. All PAOK is asking for the proper punishment which is monetary fine. PAOK should not be punished for a fake injury and manipulated match report. The appeal might be heard on Friday, but don't expect a verdict for at least a week or 10 days. They will wait until the results of the next two rounds of SL are known before they announce it. Mark my words. These people are so predictable.
  11. ERTPLAY1 Web Stream will have the game: http://webtv.ert.gr/ert-play-live/
  12. Pretty much as I expected. Stefanidi will have hard time finishing on top in the future if she does improve and start jumping 4.90m on regular basis. Filippidis did as I expected. Just like Stefanidi he will need to start jumping 5.90m regularly to have any chance. He is not getting any younger, so I think his best days are behind him. I was really surprised by Karalis. The kid will slowly replace Filippidis at the top. Good showing by Belibasaki and too bad she was DQed from the final.
  13. No the bed was made by Olympiakos and I am sure AEK is very happy with the outcome. Unfortunately that is how the titles are decided in Greece all these years.
  14. BTW here is a game where Olympiakos keeper gets hit by similar roll of paper (this time it actually hit the target as opposed at Toumba), but the game continued ...
  15. Who's talking about giving the game to AEK. PAOK has to come out and prove that we have the better team (which we do). If PAOK wins the appeal, expect Olympiakos to get their points back as well. I am almost certain of that. There is a reason why the Olympiakos appeal was postponed twice already. And let's not forget Olympiakos wants the 2nd place at all cost, which leads to Champions League where they will be seeded among the strong teams in all the qualification draws. Their main goal all along is to make it to group stage of CL so they can keep their cash cow.
  16. No it's not, but that's what AEK was hoping for and their wish was granted with the help of their POK friends Olympiakos. This will be tough game for PAOK. It's different going intro the game with -5 point disadvantage instead with +4 point advantage. That's a psychological blow. This was also evident in the Tripoli game. The game with Olympiakos that never happened negatively impacted our players in my opinion. Our players need to come and win against AEK at any cost. We need to finish 2nd and hope for a miracle as far as the title is concerned.
  17. If Olympiakos gets the 3 points and we lose our appeals the standings are: AEK 54 Olympiakos 50 PAOK 49 Atromitos 46 Olympiakos screwed themselves by not beating Panathinaikos on Sunday. Now their only hope is winning the rest of their games and getting the 3 points back and then PAOK beating AEK and also hoping that AEK loses two more points in the remaining games. We basically need the same scenario. We need to beat AEK and the rest of the games and then AEK needs to lose 2 more points. However we also hope that we will win the appeal(s). If not, it's possible that we might be passed by Atromitos if they beat us in two weeks.
  18. I think it will be 3.99 like the other derbies. Actually for us that paid for the Olympiakos game and did not get a refund it should be free.
  19. Konstantinidis is the calmest person on the PAOK bench and his outburst was a result of Kaltsas (PAOK hater with history of provocations when he faced PAOK in the past) imitating Miralas at Toumba. Seeing that Miralas was not shown a card and not even called by the disciplinary commission for his action it gave him the green light to do the same without fear of punishment.
  20. And I would not want it any other way. The games should be played on the field.
  21. As expected the game will be played without fans.

  23. There is appeal in the works and it will be heard by the EPO disciplinary commission (not the Superleague one). And after that there is additional appeal that we can make. And if Savvidis wants to take further there is always CAS. This can and will probably drag on for a while. For now the team has to go out there and perform without being influenced on the happenings outside the pitch. They have to go out and play not only for the title, but also for 2nd place which is important. And don't forget the cup. The team needs to stay focused.
  24. Who attacked who? You mean Kaltsas making a clown of himself?
  25. Outplayed by Tripoli today. Lucescu outcoached today.
