The team isn't where it needs to be, too many close calls recently. But I feel they're on the right track. They definitely are showing motivation and drive when things get rough. They look a lot worse without Giannoulis, though Pereira had a few good runs today.

I didn't even notice that. You're right. Man, I'd definitely be playing the kid. Lyratzis has limited experience on the left from what I recall. A thought, though: perhaps he wants to us this to get a sense of Soares on the left, for the next PSV game?

This is exactly the kind of game that I'd expect Michailidis to get subbed into. My guess is that Garcia will proceed more cautiously with the youth than Ferreira seemed to. If he consistently subs them in like he did vs PSV, I'll be happy. Funny how some coaches never try the youth, then Ferreira ends up going completely the other way. Michailidis seemed (to me) to get shakier as he went, which implies he may have been in over his head.
