APOEL during their CL run often had no Cypriots in their lineup.

Well they often only had one Cypriot, and at least Omonoia had Kyriakou starting.

mate your comments are simply not true, i've posted line ups for you to see that above. how many matches did APOEL during their champions league run only have one cypriot??

No, those two often started on the bench, and Chiotis is not even Cypriot.

i don't see a difference between greeks and cypriots and the facts are APOEL started with 3 greeks/cypriots in virtually all of their champions league games.

APOEL during their CL run often had no Cypriots in their lineup.

on no occasion did APOEL field a side with no cypriots during their champions league run.

  3.

APOEL during their CL run often had no Cypriots in their lineup.

that's not true, they usually lined up with charalambidis(captain) solomou and alexandrou, also ilia featured from time to time. against real madrid poursiatidis played and also chiotis in goal along with alexandrou and the captain.

  4. well we're stuck with karnezis in goal maybe kapino can step up but he needs to improve his kicking, what a massive loss lodigin is.

defensively we're ok manolas looks the part and papastathopoulos is one of the best in europe, toro is decent at right back. the problems we have are in midfield and a lack of strikers salpi and gekas can't really cut it anymore but have to play on through lack of any real alternative, fetfatzidis could play down the left side of midfield but we're so weak in the centre of midfield its a shame ergys kace chose albania over us, maniatis should only be a back up right back to toro, tziolis is slow katsouranis finished karagounis has retired samaris is just average tachtsidis never seems to play 90minutes and ninis couldn't even get a game for PAOK last season.

next friendly we could line up kapino; toro manolas papastathopoulos tzavellas;  salpi christodoulopoulos kone fetfatzidis;  samaras mitroglou

maybe kolovos if he gets playing time at olympiakos and kitsiou might be one for the future also thanasis karagounis looked decent in the dutch league last season which could solve a lot of problems for us in midfield.

  5.

*Holebas is getting better and better. From a poor game v. Colombia, to a solid game v. Japan, to a superb display v. the Ivory Coast.

offensively he's great but he looses the ball too often and doesn't track back meaning the central defenders have to keep coming to his rescue, you can get away with it against the likes of platanias and other average super league sides but he gets found out at this level.

and for the record i will be doing something on sunday i have NEVER done before in my life......bet on a sporting event......

mate wait for the line ups to be announced before you part with your money.

  6. i really don't like maniatis, he's just a converted right back who's only value to the squad is as back up to torosidis, i can't believe he plays every game in our midfield. not optimistic tonight, fetfatzidis should be playing in what is a must win game and question marks remain about holebas, we were lucky japan didn't attack down his side and playing him LM for me is not an option as his crossing is questionable.

i hope we can contain toure and drogba but i'm not optimistic.
