  1. i just read today that the people of votaniko are against bakogiannis' plans to build the stadium there. as it looks to me you will either have lots of problems in getting your stadium built there or you have to see how it works with the other options. it is likely that your team would have the same problems in goudi which would mean you would have to built your "arena" in elliniko. i hope for your team that this wont happen.
  2. i just htink that 70k places in the stadium is far too much for a greek team. if you have seen some matches when osfp played in oaka you saw that most of the times not even half of the stadium was full. no team in greece really needs a stadium bigger than 50k. there would be some matches that would be sould out, but most of the times it wouldnt be like that. unfortunately.
  3. sorry mate  do you really think we need such a stadium? it will be sold out about 3 times a year. if the capacity will be extended then it should go up to about 45'000 not more. we dont need a bigger stadium.
  4. you have some good points, but i'd say that you also have to take into account, that england has a much longer history in football than greece has. it is also a much richer country than greece is. karaiskaki is a good stadium but in my oppinion it is an average stadium for european standards. what karaiskaki is missing is a better outside. it is quite plain, but if you think about how long it took to build it (especially for greek standards ;) ) it is very nice. just out of curiosity. how do the plans for paos new stadium look like? has anybody a picture of them or arent these the final plans yet? here some future stadiums i like: shakhtar stadium beijing olympic stadium (this on is just amazing) stade grimonprez-jooris II (lille)
  5. well, when i entered the stadium i wasnt really impressed either. it might have been because i expected something much better. what is it missing, is, that from the outside there is nothing really build around except the place with the lounges and the restaurant. what i like about it is the roof. i just think it is nice. also inside i like it that the people are close to the field. what a football stadium should be like. the other pictures above show the new arsenal stadium, dont they? keep on dreaming if you expect something like that to be your new stadium. ;)
  6.
  7. looks very nice. i hope you wontt have any problems now in building it. good luck. you really need the new stadium. leoforos is heading towards the condition the old karaiskaki was before it was torn down. it wont be safe anymore at all after the derby anyway. since we will beat you, your fans will take over the job of a demolition company. ;) :P ;)
  8. papparazzi  :o :D     that guy is incredible
  9. what do you think about the new proposal? sportnet except the fact that pao would help improving the area. i think it looks quite nice.
  10. you say it in your post. it USED to hold such a lot of people regularly. but back then, there wasnt such a big problem with our fans. nowadays you wont see many fathers with their children in the stadium. but that it is too small is a fact. 40-45000 woudl have been great.
  11. the stadium of munich is located in the former olympic park. now the allianz arena will also be outside of munich. most of the other stadiums you mention are way older than leoforos is and they managed it to adjust them to their needs. leoforos anyways wasnt sure from the beginning if it would be built in athens. the problem in athens is, that (unfortunately) every free square meter has already been used to build something on it. there isnt even a park in the whole city. it would be nice and i would be happy for pao if you would be able to build the stadium in athens. but for me it looks impossible.
  12. would be nice to see something similar nowadays. very interesting.
  13. something similar happened when they wanted to build a new stadium in zurich for the european champaionship in 2008. they wanted to build a very nice stadium but the people of that area started protesting, because its shadow would be to big, the people coming into the shops of the stadium would cause a lot of trouble etc. now the whole project has stopped and they have a new plan to renovate another stadium of zurich. even this isnt sure anymore. it would be ridiculous if zurich, the biggest city in switzerland, wouldnt have a stadium for the ec. i wish you guys good luck for the stadium. hopefully the whole subject will finish soon.
  14. you should have offered to pass the stadium to the greek olympic committee too. then you would already have yours ;) but you missed your chance... i hope you'll get your stadium. this can only help greek football. it would be nice if all the teams would play in a nice stadium. good luck with your plans. i think they want you to build it in elliniko so that you reuse the parts of the soft-, baseball and hockey stadiums. ;) when i was there i alreada had the thought, that it should be possible to put the different parts together and build a football stadium.
  15. i forgot one St. Jakobspark in Basel (Switzerland-Russia qualifying game for the euro) and the newest an by far the best stadium i've ever visited just a few days ago: Rheinpark Station in Vaduz (Liechtenstein-Greece friendly) if this stadium is full every 10th citizen of liechtenstein is in there. Imagine how big it is!!!
  16. ok, lets start it: in Switzerland: Hardturm, Letzigrund, Hallenstadion (zurich), Espenmoos (St.Gallen) in Greece: old Karaiskaki, Rizoupoli, Leoforos, Olympic Stadium, Nea Smirni, Nikos Goumas, Olympic Basketball Stadium, Eirinis&Filias in Italy: Delle Alpi in Germany: Olympiastadion, Olympiahalle in France: Stade Gerland (Lyon), driven by at the Stade de France (looks like a giant UFO at night) :D
