Flying to Greece tonight. Was supposed to be going to a wedding in Andros, however the bride yet again caught the groom with cocaine but this time when she confronted him he got all aggressive and started shouting Χριστοπαναγίες. Needless to say the bride cancelled everything. I guess we will just have to enjoy a long weekend away in Athens instead.

I just love it how we invest in players then exclude them.

Watched the last 20 minutes or so. Standard PAOK display after a solid performance in Europe. Seen it happen so many times. The linesman should be heavily questioned. Before trying to chalk of their goal he also called a dodgy offside before that when their player was half a metre onside.

Booked my night train to Aberdeen. Perhaps I will make the trip to Frankfurt too, not sure yet.

Split opinions at the fan club tonight. Some saying that Group 2 is better as we avoid Aston Villa, Fiorentina and Slovan. Others saying Group 1 is better as we get to play against better teams. Personally, I would like: Group 1: Alkmaar or Lille Group 3: Legia, Ljubljana or HJK Group 4: Aberdeen, Nordsjaelland or one of the Icelandic teams When this was pointed out at the fan club it was noted by another fellow that I just want to go to Iceland for my own pleasure. He isn't entirely wrong.

We must hand it to Lucescu. He has worked wonders with the limited resources. Also, I feel like I will have love-hate relationship with Brandon this season. Exceptional performance tonight, though I believe he should be playing behind the striker. Indeed he scored, but his approach play and setups were excellent. He can't take on players to save his life but he can play a damn good ball behind the defence.

Our flight back to London from Spain took a detour via Amsterdam. We had to spend one night there (my 7th time in the magical city). I noticed the phone numbers and now realise why @Dutch Eaglerefers to Ajax as 020. Picked up a space cake and got it back to UK without any issues. Ready for the game tomorrow!
