Is there not a youth player who can step in? We would certainly need some sort of backup. I just find it crazy how we are looking at a 28 year old Argentine left back from a mediocre Greek team to step in and do a job. Surely Pereira should now be our 1st choice left back?

Ridiculous. We already have a left back called Pereira who we spent good money on. When will Ivan learn about throwing his cash around the place?

Not only that, however these games should be 1-match knockouts. Look at what happened to Bayern the other week against Holstein Kiel. If there were a second leg in Munich it's highly likely Bayern would have progressed. This is what the cup is all about - romance! Aside from that, having just one game would reduce the possibility of COVID transmission. In Greece everything is set for the big guys to do well and little ones to fail. Perish the though that somebody would knock Olympiakos (or even us) out before the Semi final. What a joke.

Olympiacos B lost to PAO. To be fair they were the better team in the second half and should have equalised. Benalouane probably should have seen red but then there would have been cries of war.

Watching the worms against PAO. Mauricio really is such a slow player. I don't think we miss him at all. They had a clear break with Emmanouilidis sprinting down the wing and instead Mauricio decided to literally stand still with the ball.

Glad to see Pereira starting. Hopefully he has a good game.

Absolute BS. So bored of the unwritten rule in Greece that sees it forbidden for Olympiacos to drop points to the smaller teams. I don't blame the ref considering all of them have a white VW Polo with their name on it.

I have met him a couple of times (we're talking around 10-12 years ago mind you). He seemed like a good lad. He is just doing what every other journalist does to get the clicks and make the money. I can definitely say that I saw a fellow diehard PAOK fan when I met him. I don't know if things have changed. You would have to speak with Yianko as they were the best of friends (perhaps still are).

The problem is that we aren't really giving our Greek youth a chance. They are just sent out on loan. Take a look at Giannoulis' record and you will see he had 4 loan spells. It should be max two. By the way, I am not sure why we are panicking about a replacement. Surely Pereira will step into this position otherwise why did we buy him? I see at as a great opportunity for both the player and us. He can go and play in England while we get the cash and allow one of our summer transfers to become a starter.

If only this were true.

Watched the last 20 minutes of the Aris-AEK game. Another blow for "O Aris" title hopes. So satisfying to see Karypidis storm the pitch and head straight to Tzilos at the end. Then again he has been schooled by Karapapas so I am not really surprised.

Giannoulis linked with Norwich for around €8m apparently. Considering all we have to play for is second place and the cup (combined with the fact that Norwich are top of the Championship and pushing for promotion), I wouldn't be surprised if this went through.

Considering our recent form I would have been happy with a point before the game. Now it's frustrating that we didn't win after that second half performance. We have 'Superman' Paschalakis to thank once again. The sooner he is benched the quicker we will start conceding less. I also feel Swiderski is a lost cause, which is a shame.

They are much better than us. We need to play smarter in order to try and steal the game. It is frightening to see how big a difference a couple of seasons make. Two years ago we played them off the park.
